Late arriving and early leaving, but there was more people than I thought would be there for a rescheduled game against a crappy team on a Sunday after a hurricane just smashed up a good portion of the state.

I'm glad you were able to attend. I can't believe people are complaining about the crowd size considering the circumstances.

We stayed until the end also. We were happy to have some free room to move around, and were able to slide into the shade and out of the scorching sun.

Per usual, 99.9% of those complaining about the crowd weren’t at the game.

I think the concerning thing regards to the defense is some of the scheme regarding trying to mitigate the talent issue. Against Tennessee especially we had safeties not really defending anything several times. Tennessee is known for their quick passing game so why not set the defense up to take away the first read and apply pressure instead of leaving a safety or 2 in the back field to defend a tendency Tennessee hadn't shown?

I'm far from an X'sand O's guru so I defer to the experts who give praise to Toney as one of the real up and comers but I wish we could get explanations on why some things are ran. But again, for all the doubters in the long game here it is comforting to see Louisiannas defense improved significantly each year during Napier’s tenure there. From really bad to one of the best over a few years. I still have a big picture perspective but I think there are things to tweak short term to ease the transition. The offense did it with some of their splits and play calling. Haven't noticed much from the defense yet.
