I found it on Youtube by accident and then couldn't find it again. Like it never existed. Searched for Florida Gators and found UF v. UT. (Under "Live" TV.)
I thought I had it figured out too, till I tried to watch today's game. I also thought that SECN+ was free if you are paying for the SEC Network. Now you say I need an app for it? I was told you could just sign in for SECN+ with the name of your service provider.
Sec+ is free if you’re paying for sec network, but you have to access it on the espn app. You do use your service provider credentials.
I signed up for ESPN+, thinking maybe I could watch it that way. They welcomed me, and then they wanted some money.
It’s the same app, but you don’t have to give them money. They make it easy to find the espn+ feed, but the sec+ feed isn’t always as easy to find. I always use the search feature. Type “gat” and it will show all the feeds, select the sec+ feed and if you haven’t already input your service provider credentials, it will prompt you to do it. My dad was fighting this issue today at gametime. I told him to get it set up yesterday, but he didn’t. He kept telling me they wanted money. Finally used the search feature, found the correct feed, and was able to watch the game. They make it purposely difficult to try to make you think you need the espn+ sub, you don’t.
It will be available on demand shortly, if it’s not already, so you can watch it now, or soon, if you still want to. Might as well give it a go even if you don’t really care about watching. That way you’ll have it sorted out for next time. Don’t know if you like baseball, basketball, or softball, but a lot of those games will be on sec+. Football, you shouldn’t have to worry about it again until next year.
So here's a stupid question. Can an app be downloaded on a desktop computer, or are apps just for mobile phones? As you can see, I have no aptitude for apps. (Plus I don't need the damn app since the game is already over.)
What service did you sign up for and how are you viewing it? I have smart tv’s, which you can download the apps directly to, but I use roku’s. They work better than the internal “smart” features on the tv.
I bought a cheap Roku TV, to try streaming and as a standby for when my 15-year-old unsmart TV kicks the bucket. I subscribed to Youtube TV, which I thought was fine till I couldn't find today's game which by all accounts was being broadcsast on Youtube TV.
Fyi, the on demand feed is available to view. It is offered on espn+ and sec+, make sure to select the correct feed.
You can download the espn app directly on your roku tv. It’s probably preloaded actually, but if its not, just go to wherever your app menu is and add the espn app.
Well, I don't recall seeing any "on demand" option on Youtube TV, though maybe it goes by some other name. And as I said, I signed up for espn+ and they wanted I think it was $9.95 a month. Anyway this is all academic. They can keep SEC+ now for all I care.
You get access to sec+ with your youtubetv subscription, but you access it via the espn app. The game is now available on demand on the espn app, not the youtube app. You don’t have to pay extra, lol.
