The University of FL needs its diploma back. And to Okla, I'm so sorry for your past misfortune.

typical liberal hater, don't like to face the facts that we are being flooded by immigrants, many of whom are not fleeing from persecution, just coming at biden's invite

No, I'm just concerned that with every post of yours we all get dumber. At some point the block feature may become a simple matter of cognitive preservation.

you and several others just cannot stand the fact that we are allowing 2.5-3 million people a year to try a cross the southern border, and it will get worse because inept joe has no plan.

Certainly not the ones you refer to as "illegals" who are legal residents.

Yes, actually, they are legal residents. They are not legal permanent residents, but they are legal residents. They are legally allowed to reside in the country pending their cases.

And they are not allowed to vote in federal elections. But they are allowed to vote in either state or local elections if the state or local area decides that they are. How it has always been. Sorry.

Not the first time millions have crossed annually. Yet, the number of undocumented immigrants does not rise exponentially. Why? Because many come here, get a job, save money, and return home. It was the plan of my great grandparents. They never became citizens. Never left either. Never could afford the ticket back to Europe. Not to mention, two World Wars got in the way, and after WW II, there was nobody to return to anyway, as my family is Jewish. Some did make it to Israel.

Many Mexican and C. American immigrants do have the money to return home, eventually. And no World Wars to worry about. And unlike my great grandparents, many undocumented immigrants do find their way home.

As for immigrants voting, this country was founded on no taxation without representation. Some immigrants have lived here years and paid plenty of taxes without ever having a voice or vote in how v they are taxed. Is that fair?

Let me get this straight… liberals will ship illegal aliens and asylum seekers to D.C. to vote in elections in a place where Joe Biden won 92% of the vote? Do you know how the electoral college works? Even for local elections this makes little strategic sense. If anything they would ship them to red or purple states if they thought they would vote Democrat. o_O

Migrants with pending claims of asylum may remain in the US legally until their claims are adjudicated. Whether or not they should be able to vote in local elections is up to the government of the locality or the state. By the way and contrary to the original post, the full city council of DC has yet to vote on the proposal. My guess is that there is a good chance that it will revised so that it is limited to migrants lawfully admitted for permanent residence or at a minimum will not include illegals.
