so say we need 1 million workers, even at 200,000 a month crossing, and that i believe is a low estimate, that leaves 2.4 million crossing, more than twice as many needed. if you want worker visas, fine, just do proper background checks to be sure who you are giving them to.

All of those numbers are way off and have nothing to do with reality.

    So this has gone from:
Liberals will bring the immigrants to DC to vote!
    Fail
Pelosi said we need illegal immigrants!
    Fail

and now we're on to how many workers do we need?
between this and the "Biden thinks we've had a woman president!" thread, this has not been a good day for the Buckeye State.

also, once most of the jobs are filled, there is no need for any others next year, the year after that, etc. yet because our borders are a sieve, they will come.

I have to say it takes a really vivid imagination to believe illegal immigrants would cross the border so that they could vote in local elections in DC. Although I'm not sure why maybe Gov. Abbott wants immigrants both legal and illegal to vote in local DC elections which could be why he is shipping them to DC at the expense of Texas taxpayers.

i said earlier the dc voting was tongue in cheek, about those already here being allowed to vote.

Yeah, economies are well known to be entirely static and not at all dynamic. Also, nobody ever retires or dies. Good call.

Well, that is a far cry from your 5 million claim. But try again.

Migration to the US is on the rise again – but it’s unlikely to be fully addressed during the Summit of the Americas, or anytime soon | FIU News - Florida International University

As I said, both your worker shortage number (1 million) and your immigration pace number were just made up.

made up? a official US agency, under the biden administration, has 2.5 million in the ytd, which is not over. the 5 million was from january 2021 until auust 2022, a total of 20 months, equalling out to 250, 000 a month, what alot of ice and border patrol has said.

No, that is not what they said. Again, an encounter is different than an individual immigrant that has remained in the US. So, yes, you made it up.
