Has anyone attended a game at the Swamp while on crutches?

Contact the ticket office..I am sure they will have some ideas..

 

Not a Florida game but I did go on a high-school trip to see the Braves and 6 flags on crutches. Doable, take your time on the steps. Go early and stay until stadium clears out after the game.

 

Depends a lot on where your seats are. If you are going up or down a lot of stairs it might be quite troublesome. I would stay low and near the end zones where it's not as steep.

 

When I was a teenager I went with a walking boot on. That was freaking hard

I did in 1977 UF/ Pitt.A tie. It was difficult but I managed. Go early or late and leave early or lat.

 

Steep on the sides... A little better in the newer" areas. Maybe sell and re-buy a better location?

High up in the South EZ lower level is easier because of the concourse.

All assumed mind you. Never been on crutches.

 

Only advantage I see is if you have a temporary handicap parking badge, get a good parking spot near stadium.

 

No, but I did need crutches after the game when I went to the Porpoise.

I've travelled extensively with crutches. It'll hurt like heck...and you'll have to go slow....but at the end of the day it's just pain. Make sure to have comfy crutches designed for longer distance "walks"....

 

I did once, I found it easier going up stairs than down, if you can plan for that. I would recommend getting a wheelchair, and get wheelchair seating.

 

Yes I went to the game against Miami in 1983 on crutches. It was hot as hell but had a great time. Oh to be 22 again.

 

Not crutches but a sling when I went to the 96 Auburn game 9 days after torn labrum/rotator cuff surgery. Regretted it at the time as every time someone bumped by arm, I was in agony. I had my nephew stop at the liquor store after the game for a fifth of vodka which I proceeded to inhale. Long ride home, brother.

 

I was at that game - age 23. I do recall it being just this side of a blast furnace. 1:00 game, right?

 

I believe so, I do remember both Miami linebackers throwing up on the field in the 4th quarter and staying in.

 

Check with the ticket office. Might be able to accommodate you on the entry level - handicap seats in the end zone.

 

I attended a game a long time ago at the swamp. No obstacle to going. Just more steps and walking. So get there early since it will take you longer
