Eastern part of the state has tumbleweeds, which are cool if you have never seen them before. Saw them in Richland during a business trip
One of my UF good friends graduated and moved to Seattle area and has been there ever since. He loves it.
Famed WWII fighter ace (28Japanese Kills) & Medal of Honor winner attended high school & graduated from the University of Washington. Younger folks might remember him being portrayed on the TV show Baa Baa Black Sheep.
Mac and Jack beer out of Redmond. Best microbrew I've ever had. Their amber ale is my all time favorite beer. Sold in the Seattle area only.
I saw that episode as a kid when it was broadcast the first time. That one also stuck with me all these years.
The scenery, music, beer and the fact that EW just gave up 350+ yards and 7+ ypc to Montana State on the ground in last week loss.
Lived all over the State of Washington back in the mid 1970s. From Whidbey Island on the west to Spokane on the east... Apple orchards, Mt. Ranier, cherry trees, beautiful Spruce and Fir forests. Olympia National Forest...black sand beaches on the Pacific. Lived near Renton...the home and burial site of Hendrix. Also lived near Aberdeen...the home of Kurt Cobain. Deception Pass...Google it. North Cascades National Park... "The Alps of America."
Spent four years living on Whidbey, amazing place. The fact that I am a lifelong mountain biker didn’t hurt. Some of the best sushi I have had outside of Japan. Close to whistler.
Deception Pass, Hoh Rain Forest and bikini coffee houses. Visited Whidbey Island a couple years ago and had a great time.
