If he goes there he can play in front of nobody and lose to everybody. Money or no money thats a dead end for his dreams.
And other than Marshall and Elam, who have we recruited who come close to their talent in the last two coaching eras? It looks like the 23 and 24 cycles are going to be loaded with that caliber of commits. We need them integrated into the team asap.
I know you're joking, but it was poor technique. I would have preferred he wrap-up and drive through the ball carrier as demonstrated by Monty Grow.
With Johnson still sitting out there and the CBs we have committed and the youth of our DBs, I just get the feeling McClain is Alabama’s to lose. Am I the only one who thinks that?
McLain is going to go where he wants. He’s going to push for playing time as a true freshman whether that’s for NIL or because he loves that school. Nothing is going to “scare” him away
He was the perfect example that you don't need to be a Rhodes Scholar to diagnose a play, shed blocks and form tackle. When he stepped on the field you knew he had bad intentions. And then we learned when he got off the field he had bad intentions too.
i felt joy as a gator fan seeing this. I felt bad cuz Studstill went to my high school and came to a party I threw at my dads place. Nice guy.
Bama's stacked with 5 star db too. He is just gonna go where he is gonna go. When was the last 5 star (or very high 4 star) db we got who did not start or play heavily his first year? Maybe Steele was going to be one when he headed home quickly. Otherwise we play talented guys early at cb.
He is a must get imo. We absolutely have to start winning these battles. Zero excuses for not getting 5 star DBs now. We have a top (if not the best) DB coach, NIL, facilities, new players coach who swore he could recruit. No excuses left. We are DBU for Christ sake
yea we as fans have to continue to recondition our brains and not be so quick to concede a battle to other schools for a kid who has played it close to the vest like Cormani has. I do think he ends up a Gator but Bama is going to be tough to beat. If we get him back on campus for the LSU game, im going to feel VERY good. Right now, while I think we get him, I am nervous that his Bama OV is coming up and he’s talking about possibly committing. Don’t want to think the worst but i can see how some folks would the flip side is that he wants to take his OV to Bama THEN announce to UF and take his UF OV in December because it’s weird that he hasnt talked about talking a UF OV yet and I just can’t imagine him committing to Bama and never taking a UF OV or doing it (taking his OV to UF) as a Bama commit. That would be going against how he’s handled his recruitment up to this point. He’s NOT going to Miami, I can safely say that
Nil, the word doesn’t mean the same things for all teams. Do we have top five in the country nil deals? I don’t know. We haven’t seen evidence of that yet. If we do, he still has an offer from Bama that comes with an almost guaranteed national championship ring. We are not exactly on equal footing. It’s much closer now maybe but not the same offer. We are offering what we hope to happen. Bama has the here and the now to offer.
Yeah, bunch’s wannabes. We took the coach from the closest competition for DBU (LSU), cementing is as DBU. Hopefully he can get us back to where we belong. Players like Cormani can.
At the end of the day, bama is the best school to lose a high recruit to. Losing recruits to Miami and UGA disgusts me. However, if Cormani can be sold on the rebuild and commits to us, it speaks volumes. I can’t blame people for going to bama, it’s a no brainer if you’re talented enough. But being able to know there is a project and investing yourself into rebuilding Florida to where it belongs speaks volumes. I don’t want to say going to bama is taking the easy way out but Florida is definitely the harder road.
