As a former Army officer with three children in the military, it's my personal opinion that you are completely out of your mind. The gap between the US military and the 2nd best military on earth is comparable to the difference in skill and ability between the Buffalo Bills and Vanderbilt. You seem like quite the vocal Keyboard Kommando. I assume you've been telling everyone that there was no way Russia would win this war and it would lead to the destabilization and collapse of the current regime. Whether they were defeated conventionally or were dragged into a guerrilla war that completely depleted their military and economic stability, this was a monumental strategic blunder. That's what I told people I know back in February and so far, so good. The only thing Russia and China have going for them are nuclear weapons. The Russians have historically fielded some of the least effective armies in the world and China's army is basically a cheap knockoff of the overated and incompetent Russo/Soviet Army.

We were all raised to acknowledge the notion that some people lived in countries which governments were rapacious, imperialistic and destructive. But we could never bring ourselves to consider the possibility that such might apply to our own country. It simply cannot be the case. Because it’s our country. And by definition, we cannot be that country.
It's like hearing people tell me how weak and overrated Georgia or Alabama, etc, are all the time. They have a million reasons, minutia and theories. I think the problem you have is believing our government exists to help usher humanity into a new golden age of freedom, harmony, peace and prosperity. Actually, it's primary role is to only benefit the lives of it's citizens. It's kept on track by the voting power of a populous that includes a number of greedy, ignorant or indifferent individuals. It's far from a perfect system and is infected with many of the negative aspects of the human condition that undoubtedly slows it's progress towards creating a better future. The US has a history of suspicious, paranoid and intolerant political divisions that tend to think the worst of those who share different visions. And we live in a world where numerous governments and populations have numerous competing interests. It's not the optimal situation and it could definitely be better. However, it could also be worse. A LOT worse. It is what it is.
