I only posted this to say they should flip the cameras while they're at it Florida budgets $7 million to repair or replace O'Connell Center roof
I think one of the complications is that the O'Dome is university controlled and not UAA. This particular project is spearheaded by UF.
Yep, I've gone O'Connelling. I can't believe the roof was replaced 24 years ago... https://www.washingtonpost.com/arch...y-towns/25346d1d-5ae3-4d70-8382-040e6c7ea599/
Actually it used to be controlled by student government IIRC. At least that how it was originally paid for. Don't know if it still is.
Is it just me that they are fixing a roof on a building that was majorly renovated (basically complete re-do) not too long ago? Maybe it is called "the curse of the penny wise, pound foolish" directive of the past. Or in better terms... Fix the damn ticket distribution system so that all games are fully attended! And while you are at it, FIX THE DAMN CAMERA ANGLES!!!!!!!
Yep. We need to work at putting more asses in the seats. The uppermost deck is never full for lesser games. Sell 'em for $2 a game. We'll make our profit from concessions. And maybe if a seat is going unused by a season ticket holder, make it so that a donation of the ticket to a charitable organization is tax deductible.
Well they built it in what 79 - 80? As I recall they had problems with the "inflatable" right off the bat.
