Yes, they plan on raising rates another ,75 basis points, granted they were caught with their pants down when they were saying inflation was going to be transitory. They are about 6-8 months behind now. They also plan on significantly raising the unemployment rate. These guys have no clue as to what they are doing.

I think the market tanked today on fears of a 100pt raise. I think 75 will see green and hopefully mark the end of increases. Then we'll need continued flat lined inflation and the labor market to hold up ok and we all may just survive.

I hope there is a really dumb YT video that will explain how this is all the fault of Hunter Biden's laptop.

Agree with why the market tanked.
I don’t they they will be done after this.
Powell has made it his prime directive to kill inflation. They won’t stop until the numbers go down a bunch.
Which will likely have be consequences down stream.

The labor market is too tight and rising wages aren’t going to help their goal….

My tinfoil hat makes me think this is all about the labor market. Capital wants access to easy cheap labor. There are certainly signs of that softening, but what constitutes soft enough?

    Be fair
The OP posted with information and opinions. He Ben included an article from Bloomberg. Instead of commenting on anything he posted you go off topic. He did exactly what everyone has been asking if him and because it doesn’t fit your agenda… it’s not enough.
    Congrats.
You are the problem n this thread. Not him.

If they would take their foot off the neck of energy production, we could fix this rather quickly. It's starts and ends with energy.

I’d lower it .5% and shock everyone.

Said no one at all but you. When you chastise someone… fairly.. for the YT videos and then he posts an actual good post and he gets ridiculed and told he needs to post YT videos…. Nope the problem isn’t him this time.

If it is, then so is responding to a poster's joke about his posting habits with "he actually posted a link this time, you're the problem here"

0.75% hike as expected… markets had some wild swings today but is positive … doesn’t look like “pain” to me.
