Those numbers are way to small to account for excess deaths since they rolled out the, well, you know. They’re blaming Climate Change for young people dropping dead with heart attacks. Science!

well, this isn't good. rates of long covid climbing..new variant or accumulation of infections from various variants? or just surviving mroe serious infections that may have killed before??

and note that long covid is also impacting previously fit people

Dreaded Side Effect Rears Its Ugly Head in Latest COVID Variant (msn.com)

More and more people are surviving COVID and staying out of the hospital, but more and more people are also living with long-term symptoms of COVID. Fatigue. Heart problems. Stomach problems. Lung problems. Confusion. Symptoms that can last for months or even a year or more after the infection clears.

As many as 21 percent of Americans who caught the SARS-CoV-2 virus this summer ended up suffering from long COVID starting four weeks after infection, according to a new study from City University of New York.

That’s up from 19 percent in figures the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported in June.

Compare those numbers to the recent rates of death and hospitalization from COVID in the U.S.—three percent and .3 percent, respectively. Long COVID is by far the likeliest serious outcome from any novel-coronavirus infection. And possibly getting likelier.

A purposeful lie built on a kernel of truth. Moderna and NIAID did collaborate on research about MERS-Cov, which is a coronavirus, but not the coronavirus causing covid.

Kind of weird they are trotting it out again considering how thoroughly it was debunked when they first brought it up over a year ago.

I am not wrong. Just because you only accept made up facts, no one can help that.

You and your fellow dip-s**t anti-vaxxers claim the mRNA vaccine turned at 3 different people in The Hulk in VAERS. But yeah, keep inferring cr@p from a fantasy database inundated by mental midget anti-vaxxers.

Lol, someone is triggered. I guess I would be too if I was so wrong on vaccines for kids. Just admit it and it will all be better. Kids don’t need the vaccine(unless underlying conditions). I know you think it’s true but are too stubborn to admit it. Come on, prove me wrong and admit you were wrong.

A couple of months ago my wife and I suffered from a week-long coughing spell. I subsequently discovered that our a/c filter was dirty. Our coughs cleared up in a day or two.

What I still don’t know is whether I gave dirty a/c filter to my wife or whether she gave dirty a/c filter to me.

For those really interested in vaccines this is an excellent interview in its entirety.

I would characterize his views as him being somewhat indifferent to multiple boosters for those that aren’t old or in high risk groups. As to the new bivalent, no there isn’t human data, yet, so his strong suspicion is that it should be safe, based upon the biology, but there isn’t definitive human data yet. He is also skeptical it is any more materially effective than the original vaccine strain against severe disease, which he views as the main point of the vaccine. So he isn’t recommending normal people run out and get it, but he isn’t recommending against it either. He doesn’t think such a vaccine should be required until there is good human data on its safety and efficacy.

I will say I find Offit to be the most informative and reputable source on vaccines. From time to time he isn’t hesitant to vary from the CDC if he feels necessary.

interestingly at the end he did say in some ways at this point Covid in some ways can be no longer described as a pandemic.

Um, Rick. Covid was around before it was officially deemed a pandemic. Thats how they knew.

My guess is (as frustrating as big pharma can be) it does this routinely when new viruses emerge. Its bad business to wait.

Are you under some false belief that such deals are only made once a pandemic has been declared?

Big pharma are bloodsucking greedy leaches, notwithstanding.;)

You missed the irony wherein certain of his reservations meet the definition of anti-vaxxer.
