That game could not have been better scripted even by the best Hollywood writers. In fact, if this game were a Hollywood movie, you'd say, nah, not believable. Two match points in the third set, only to lose, then get crushed in the fourth set, but win in the fifth set despite being down by three points. I said it before: This team may be young and lack experience, but they definitely have heart. Can you imagine what this team will look like in a couple of years? Stucky's a true freshman for gosh sake!
Long time Gator volleyball fan. Mary Wise is a GREAT coach... AND her teams have often crumbled under pressure from established programs. Our teams play in front of a few thousand, at best, in the SEC and sometimes I wonder if the stage gets too big too fast for them. Well Stucky is just a damn warrior and this team just took the largest regular season crowd in history and stepped on their necks with a hobnail boot! They took punches, they struggled (get a serve in during the 5th set!) and they prevailed. What a great match! Need to give the Wisconsin crowd a hand too! What an environment!
Figures, wife called me with the Gators down 8-5. At least I recorded it and will watch now. Huge road win for the Gators.

Agreed, and don't recall ever seeing that many color coordinated fans. Was wondering if they gave every Wisc attendee a free red shirt.
Stunned they pulled it off....hats off to both teams. I was ready to say both soccer and volleyball had moral victories in losses last night. Volleyball one upped it.
Most exciting and fun volleyball match I have ever witnessed. I didn't think they had a chance going into fifth set. Kudos to these youg ladies. They were fantastic.
Not a mention of the match in the Gainesville Sun. I probably need to switch to the Alligator for volleyball news.
Nice tribute at the FB game last night, including a pretty long video board presentation and the announcer describing the historic nature of the game, how the game went down, and congratulations including Coach Wise. Decent crowd applause.
The B1G commentators talked so highly of "Queen Mary: 31 years coaching-31 NCAA bids-31 consecutive seasons 20+ wins-3 Coach of the Year awards (more than any current active NCAA coach)". Go Gators!
WOW! What a game! We have some really good servers. We were constantly forcing Wisconsin on their heels scrambling. And what a crowd! Have we ever sold-out the O'Dome for volleyball?
