Yes. And that woman apparently lied to them in order to convince them to go. Sadistic behavior.
Migrants on Martha's Vineyard flight say they were told they were going to Boston

Honestly not that many people, IMO. The Floridian DeSantis stans have a bit of a warped perception of his image.

    Ok
I was mistaken. It makes no sense for Desantis to fly immigrants from TX to MA. I have zero issue with TX bussing them to different areas and have zero issue with Florida doing the same with immigrants that get bussed by the the fees to FL.
But to randomly get involved in the beef between TXand the feds… dumb dumb dumb.

This story got weird. A woman lured immigrants to San Antonio under the pretense the state would fly them to Boston and then Desantis had Florida pay to have them flown to Martha’s Vineyard for a photo op?

Nearly everything about that sounds shady and illegal.

Because he wanted to use them to score political points.

    Thats what I was suggesting.

Desantis basically had FL taxpayers foot the bill for an illegal human smuggling exercise. Normally traffickers just want the cash or the slave labor. Desantis lured them with false pretenses (fraud) and his payoff apparently was a photo op. The “payoff” for Desantis wasn’t cash, it was the political photo-op, but the underlying act is the same as human smuggling. He had no regard for those people’s well being.

    Criming to own da libz.

He has a presidential campaign to run, and a state budget to spend on it.

Then you are intentionally keeping your eyes closed.

You already noted how the folks in MV accepted them and treated them with kindness and love.

But the rest of us are reacting to a hateful action from a would be dictator who literally used $10 million FL tax payer dollars to IMPORT immigrants (because FL doesn't even have any!?!) so that he could then EXPORT them in a clear political stunt.

When people are as hateful as DeathSantis and the Orange Traitor you should expect they are going to get called out for their hateful ways.

There was nothing quiet about what DeSantis did. He proudly announced it to the world. He did it for political gain and to own libs. The feds move immigrants around as a part of immigration policy, unaccompanied minors who need to be placed in safe situations for example.

The federal government has jurisdiction to relocate immigrants as well as to adjudicate immigration cases.

States have no such authority, and private groups misrepresenting themselves in such ways on behalf of political operators are possibly committing multiple crimes.

For the record, are you okay with state politicians using immigrants as props in a stunt while using your tax dollars to do it?
