I am going to assume that you’re not a dummy. Do you think that there is a difference between moving people to facilities that are designed to care for them vs putting them on a plane and dumping them off somewhere?

Because he's been unable to do much of anything due to Republican "judges." They won't even allow his administration to set enforcement priorities. He's made some changes with regard to TPS protection and refugees, but beyond that, he can't do much about the border until the Republicans in the judiciary stop interfering.

No sure if it's already been mentioned, thanks to Governor DeSantis the taxpayers of Florida paid to fly Venezuelan immigrant from San Antonio, Texas to Martha's Vineyard, Massachusetts. The Venezuelans never actually set foot in Florida.

It will be interesting to see how many days the guests are welcome before they ship them off somewhere else.

Or, you know, since they are people with their own brains and everything, they choose to go somewhere else.

If I was in Florida, I would BE PISSED right now and looking into suing Deathsantis. What a misuse of government funds for nothing but political purposes.

And less than 2 months before the first Victims of Communism Day in Florida. I guess they didn't mean those victims of Communism.

The tears on this thread are delicious.

As far as the apparent grace shown by Martha's Vineyard towards the illegal immigrants, I'm glad they were graceful and I hope DeSantis sends more their way.

Rather than whining about DeathSantis or the Orange Man, I look forward to the left showing us how kind they are for a change. All I've seen frankly, is vitriol towards anyone who disagrees with them.

What illegal immigrants? You mean the legal asylum seekers?

But good job demonstrating the target audience: people who don't actually care about legal status but are far more interested in owning some libs and use people as props to do so.

"Border walls are bad and symbols of bigotry... unless we do it."

"We accept immigrants from all places, but sending them our way is an indicator of cruelty and using immigrants as political pawns."

"Also, photo ops in front of detention centers with politicians in tears is not using immigrants as political pawns."

They accepted them. They were sent by people trying to be cruel and using immigrants as political pawns to appeal to those that get dopamine bursts from cruelty. Those are both true.

Yes, again, that is largely true. Holding a press conference in front of a building that shows the absurdity of our current immigration system is not using anybody caught up in that system as a political pawn.

If you guys are so much better than us, you should have no problem hosting them in your backyard under the conditions YOU believe to be humane.

Instead you're whining about how cruel DeSantis is, as though this was some great burden (which implies that this IS a burden).

If you can't or aren't actually willing to host them in your backyard, you're not actually better than us... you just like patting yourself on the back, telling yourself that you are.

The Venezuelans who DeSantis sent are not illegal immigrants. They are legal and are we title to Temporary Protected Status here. They can even work. DeSantis lied to them by telling them they were being taken to cities to where there were jobs. And they were instead taken to Martha’s Vinyard to “own the liberals.” And to appeal to people like you who are ignorant enough to call them “illegal.”

That's an incredible false dichotomy. A+ work my friend.

Any comment on using 12 million dollars for this stunt?

Florida's DeSantis flies dozens of "illegal immigrants" to Martha's Vineyard, escalating tactic against "sanctuary destinations"

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis sends 2 planes with undocumented migrants to Martha’s Vineyard

"The Governor of Florida has sent a group of undocumented migrants out of his state and to one he calls a sanctuary destination."

Migrants sent by Ron DeSantis to Martha’s Vineyard thought they were headed to Boston

"Florida governor Ron DeSantis has sent two planes of undocumented migrants to Martha’s Vineyard, an exclusive island off the coast of Massachusetts where Barack Obama owns a mansion."

Looks like the mainstream media has failed me then. I thought they could be trusted.

What burden? South Florida has become great, in larger part, because of immigrants. Brings them here. There is a large support structure here, including in Doral, which has a large Venezuelan community. Your post reeks of your disgust for immigrants. Same words spoken for so long— “not in my neighborhood.” You are outed again.
