The special master is not being appointed to determine if the documents are classified. That is not a function of the judiciary. You will not hear what those documents are from the special master.

If there was actual evidence of him being “framed”, Trump would have been shouting it from the rooftops for years, not burying it in a broom closet in florida.
Whatever those documents turn out to be, it was simply a narcissistic power grab. That is basically what you can trace almost every Trump act back to.

Trump's legal team now trying to suggest that the DOJ has to prove the documents are classified (again, classification has nothing to do with the alleged crimes) as his team won't commit to saying if they are or aren't.

    Bold strategy, Cotton.

What suit? It was dismissed as garbage. Too bad. I heard it was really going to play a part in the raid. But that source isn't factual.

so DT had proof that Russia did not intervene on his behalf with a massive, targeted social media misinformation campaign and he never shared the information with anyone. Note even the Senate Intelligence committee that concluded that the Russians colluded with the DT campaign to facilitate the targeted misinformation campaign. Do you honestly believe that the man that would blab national security secrets to friends to try and impress them would sit on information that exonerated him and cleared him of the conclusions reached by the senate intelligence committee? Really? WHy would he sit on that information? Did he somehow become altruistic? wow, people really believe that nonsense. thena gain,if the believe that Putin invaded Ukraine to help keep Hunter Biden out of trouble they are subject to believe anything

Do you realize that DT lawyers failed to file anything with enough of credibility or substance to even get a hearing on the DT-Clinton lawsuit and the judge threw it the entire case out when DT lawyers failed to meet multiple deadlines to present something /anything with any sort of credibility

notice that they did not claim they were not classified as that would potentially get them disbarred for making knowingly false claims to the court

The government said they were going to seek 11th Circuit review on the 14th. The Trump response disputing if the documents are classified would require the master to review the documents to make that call. This is exactly why this Judge should have stayed out of this. That is not a role for the judiciary and certainly not the role of a judge in a civil case to enjoin a criminal investigation. There is no precedent for that.

Being in the room where it happened might be big leverage for DOJ.

they are going to put Bobb in font of the grand jury and she is either going to implicate herself or turn to witness in exchange for immunity

but they may get to keep their law license and avoid prison time.

Read a piece a while back about how practically every attorney that represents DT ends up hiring legal counsel to represent them when their actions to try and impress DT get them in trouble

A lawyer has the right to disclose attorney client communications to protect hisself or herself from accusations of wrongdoing. She is going to have to explain her affidavit as to the source of her information concerning the diligent search.

and there is no doubt in my mind that she relied 100% on DT and did no search of the premises. If she claimed she conducted a search there should be videotapes from ML showing her going through his office. If not, she lied and is in deep water. Otherwise, she ahs to implicate DT as the sourc eof the information that there were no other documents. Rock meet hard place...and she deserves to be there, as does every lawyer who takes DT at his word and lies to the court.

First off, it's a pretty big deal that a former president might be/is likely guilty of federal offenses. Plus there have been a lot of developments or shall we say, plot twists. This is playing out like a streaming series.

Of course it is but we need the FBI to sprinkle a few more leaks to maintain the dramatic tension. The special master thing sounded like a good idea at first but there's just not enough inherent conflict. The Justice Department and FBI are going to lose their audience if they don't ramp up the story stakes.
