As of July 31, 2022, republicans outnumbered democrats by 230,915.

Voter Registration - By Party Affiliation - Division of Elections - Florida Department of State (myflorida.com)

As of August 31, 2022, republicans outnumbered democrats by 267,000.

267,000 More Republicans Registered than Democrats in Florida: 'A Place Where Sanity Prevailed' - Florida’s Voice (flvoicenews.com)

The last update of the state tracker was August 17 with registrations through July 31. I expect the state tracker to update by end of week or first of next week. Ron DeSantis has already been told and he is touting it.

With the republican trend intensifying to the upside, there will be more than 300,000 republicans than democrats in Florida by the start of voting for the midterm elections.

And people said ET didn't budge... last time he had to be corrected a he falsely claimed that Cons were the majority of voters in Fl. As stands: Cons 36%, Dems 35% NPA 27% 2% other parties. Celebrate that 1% lead over the Democrats but realize that 27% DOES NOT live in the Villages. LOL

I never said a 50%+ republican base existed in Florida. You are confused as to the facts.

Sorry to bust your bubble kiddo, but republicans outnumber democrats by 5%+ and growing. On top of that a majority of independents have voted republican as they did when republicans won so many past statewide elections with fewer registered voters than democrats.

Bottom line, your extremist left views have lost in Florida. As fast as the republican registration trend is accelerating, Florida could have a million more republicans than democrats by the 2024 national election.

I count Florida as solid red with the development having started since Ron DeSantis became governor. It's the Free State of Florida.

Florida is more red than blue, no doubt. But free state? Pffft. Y’all can’t even grow your own weed.

You can grow your own weed in Virginia?

Florida does have medical weed available although I have no idea how much is actually used for medical purposes.

Other than it being considered a gateway drug, I have no problem with full legalization. You could grow it in your own greenhouse then and save some money. I think the states would not like the loss of tax revenue though.

So, what's new in this other than you proved you have been taught how to cut and paste?

Do you consider alcohol and tobacco “gateway drugs” too?

Alcohol depends on the person. It's easier to develop and addiction to alcohol than weed. Alcoholics Anonymous exists for a reason.

Me? I don't smoke, drink other than the occasional drink with dinner, and I don't do weed. Don't get me wrong, I'd like to be able to drink more, but alcohol is like poison to my system. I can have one drink too many and I'd be in the bathroom throwing. I'd like a good buzz every now and then, but not the being sick that goes along with it. Wine with too many sulfates gives me headaches. Basically, I'm a one-drink limit.

Is "The Free State of Virginia" a reach? What's going on with voter registrations in Virginia since you elected yourselves a republican governor?

Well, since you mention cut and paste and continue to evade the truth... here's your post from Aug. 15th
    and then my reply

    AUG 15, 2022#60

"No funny button, this is full blown LOL! You must not have gotten the memo that republicans are the majority in Florida now. You sir are in the minority."
Coleg reply: " Math is hard for Pubs. 14M voters in Fl and 5.15 M are Pubs. and 4.95M are Democrats. Seems you need about 7M to become a majority. Might want to recheck that memo. SMH"

So now let's see what you have proved. Seems your claim was and still is false.

not much significant. Virginia tends to be won or lost with the NPAs

My claims are true. I was speaking in terms of there being a majority of republicans compared to a minority of democrats. I would have never stated the republicans are the majority party of Florida. That would take a 50%+ registration of republicans. I hope that someday happens. As it is, republicans just started outnumbering democrats in mid 2021 for the first time ever.

You again, do not comprehend what you read, but good job of cutting and pasting.

The only evidence I've seen of that is BECAUSE it is illegal in backwards ass states. Drug dealers sell drugs other than weed; hence, folks get exposed to all kinds of other stuff. I have NEVER been offered any other drug at the weed shops here.

No shift between republicans and democrats yet? It started almost immediately in Florida when DeSantis became governor. A lot of it is people moving to Florida and most are registering as republicans when they get here.

I'm waiting to see a trend from independent to republican develop, but that hasn't been as pronounced, yet. Florida has closed primaries, so I'm surprised so many choose to stay independent. It greatly reduces their chances to participate in the primary process.

virginia has open primaries. As far as politics go, Virginia is a far cry from Florida and at least so far (thankfully) Youngkin is a far cry from DeSantis. He’ll have to be, unless he wants to hand the governor’s mansion back to the Dems. Virginia voters punished the GOP for Corey Stewart.

To each their own. I wouldn't want to have permanent residency in any other state not named Florida.

Agreed with the first sentence. And most of my immediate family would agree with the second. I chose long ago not to settle there but I love spending time in Florida.

Perhaps you might try to comprehend the definition of the word : plurality. Then get back to me with your word salad and explain: " You must not have gotten the memo that republicans are the majority in Florida now. You sir are in the minority." Cut and paste works well to expose those will would deceive. LOL
