So everything that comes from Russian sources is propaganda? As with our own media and government the answer lies somewhere in between and seeking out sources for references and points of clarification is what must be done. Giving what I am seeing and hearing happening on a global scale as well as the actions of politicians should give everyone pause.

Believe it or not, there is a difference in information between countries that allow freedom of the press and those that do not

Well, that’s to disabuse the notion that everything you don’t like is from a Russian bot. Not all Westerners have been Ukracized.
And I have published stories from those sources. The latest one deals with aluminum and nickle imports from Russia. I've posted stuff from Der Spiegel, BBC and other sources as well that show the extent to which the News media in the US is trying be mum about. I referenced podcasts as well. The only thing I have not done is provide twitter stuff which seems to be the go for some members here. All in all I think I have provided a good round of sources for material to contemplate. As for a free press it certainly has advantages but when the free press pushes an agenda and elides the truth is it really free?
Sure. No one has ever said free press has to be true press. But true press is free press. Controlled press is never true.
Precisely. The counter to a particular “free press” P.O.V isn’t propaganda, it’s other free press that might legitimately have a different opinion or give a more neutral assessment. Sometimes the press gets fed western propaganda, but if you stick with legitimate sources you eventually cut through that. When you respond with obvious propaganda it’s not presenting a different legitimate viewpoint to ponder, it’s still JUST propaganda. Shocking how many Americans don’t get this. But as we see people will apparently believe anything they see put out there as legitimate (on YouTube or podcasts or blogs or whatever). First rule should always be “consider the source”.
There is a big difference between occasional bias (which is human nature) and "let me me check with my government minder and make sure this o.k. to print". And the U.S. has both left-leaning and right-leaning press, so half the press is going to be inclined to insult the current administration or maximize negative current events, and the other half is going to try to hide it or downplay it.
