I find it hard to concern myself with the passing of QE2. I wish no I’ll will. After Diana was killed, the royals lost any sense of goodness. They were and still are tabloid Kardashian level fodder. Living there for 10 years and bombarded with royal shenanigans daily kinda numbs any concern for their issues.
On the other hand we get the full on sympathy of BLM sympathizer Carnegie Mellon prof. Uju Anya referring to her as a wretched woman and genocidal colonizer. The Chief monarch of a thieving raping genocidal empire is finally dying. May her pain be excruciating. Pure class I guess.

I heard Prince Chuckles is now Charles the 3rd? The name Charles goes back to the English civil war.

Song was first recorded 40 or 45 years ago. When did I get so old?

Think about it. The president is the most powerful person in the world. Elizabeth met 13 of them and each time, the president was no 2 in the room.
    And it wasn’t close

Yeah but that was more deference to celebrity than anything. I think she was a great lady but at no point in her reign did she possess more real power than an American president.

I certainly agree about the power. But it's more than just celebrity, more than just meeting a movie star. There's only one queen of England.
But all that's just totally subjective on my part.

this is off topic, but how can one be the king of R&R without ever writing a song?

I see what you’re saying but I think it’s incredibly subjective. I’d be more impressed meeting certain musicians or movie stars or athletes because in my mind they’ve actually done something to earn my admiration.

I get that. There's folks I'd rather meet. I just think her lofty status was unique. Not just because of her position, but also her longevity in it.

she’s an institution for sure. The longest reigning monarch in British history. That’s insane when you think about it. Even when factoring in medical advances.

It’s never old. I caught the tail end of the punks when I got to England in 82. Sid was the real Sex Pistols.

Metal Box, while certainly not everyone's cup of tea, is a sorta demented masterpiece IMO. I know of no other album that has lower lows & trebly-er highs. If you got lingerers after a party, etc. put that on. It'll clear em out.

this isn't even worth a listen w/o a good subwoofer...the lows are too low for cellphones, etc.
