No question they made great halftime adjustments. Personally I like and have great respect for coach Willingham. Taking off the O&B glasses for a second, they came into the swamp and stretched us to the limit. Few penalties. Good gameplan. I know it's early but I expect them to either win the Pac-10 or come in 2nd. Probably win if injuries do not deplete the roster. That Tightend is darn good. Cam is good too, smart, he had 91 yards rushing, took what our defense gave.
That was a good team. I’ll be rooting for them the rest of the year. USC would be their only challenge I’m thinking.
I had no idea... He looks so young. On second thought... they did have a 30 year old sophomore kicker
I saw Sapp in there for a few plays in what looked like a DT role, but it could have just been a SDE with an OLB on his side.
Maybe it was Sapp because it wasn’t Lee only coming in for Dexter and Watson, not unless I was just confused, seemed to be four playing regular downs and probably Mclellan was the other I noticed. I don’t know all their numbers.
And Utah has a good quarterback and great tight ends, so they could both run and pass effectively. That wears on a defense.
Really kept out lbs busy so they couldn’t sell out on the run. Seemed like they were double teaming whoever was beside our tackles and running right at them. If our lb tried to help it left the tes open
Not to mention good coaching for putting in fresh players to hit tired first string Utah players. Their OL was gassed also.
I think it is wishful thinking we will get much out of those 4 based on injury history and development, other than Lyons who was a standout in high school amd has a bright future but needs body work to play against SEC OL.
Agree, but also don’t think it’s crazy that they can fill a role. Many were real high on Thomas not too long ago.
Yeah, that's what I recall. I think he was injured most of last year and didn't show up on the field until the bowl game.
