Call and complain to ESPN then. The house was rocking last night. You read multiple post about how electric the game was, don't doubt your fellow posters. It was insane!

 

I don't doubt it BECAUSE I trust the posters comments but I agree the ESPN broadcast did not enhance it. I think it sounded subdued for the most part. Honestly not being negative but the broadcast seemed to mute the atmosphere. The various phone videos tell a different story though

The swamp was so loud Utah players were holding their hand over one ear hole and leaning in just foot from the Qb in the huddle. They couldn’t hear the Qb from 3 feet away.

Con…..spiracy , maybe you guys are on to something.

 

Wouldn’t they try to filter out the noise so they can collect their thoughts and talk to each other on the air.

However they could amp up the stadium noise more than they do.

Going quite aways back but this is what I mean. Maybe it was the difference in the announcing or maybe it's production "refinement " but these broadcasts conveyed atmosphere much more so in my opinion.

I'm sure I developed deep seeded memories with the broadcasters I grew up with but they just had such definitive characteristics. Gottfried, madden, Al Michaels, Verne, Keith Jackson, etc

Gotfried was one of my all time favs. Just exuded college football
