They want us to believe he had a black friend?

That explanation seems a bit ridiculous. He either thought he had a friend that played for Duke or he couldn't tell the difference between Duke and BYU, despite them wearing jerseys that literally identified themselves? Then he told the Duke players to watch their backs because he thought they were his friend?

We see and find what we’re looking to find. Sounds like Godmother has a warped filter.

It’s been reported that he has a mental disability and BYU didn’t suspend him for any threat.

I have no idea which player he thought was his friend but what do you know about him that makes you think he doesn’t?

He is a university student at the other university in Provo (Utah Valley University). That report seems false and was from a very sketchy source.

After looking through all footage no one can be seen or heard shouting racial slurs.

Duke made an official complaint before the game that some one heard something shouted from the stands.

After the game Duke player claims the slurs grew in obesity and got to the point of being threatening.

So far no witnesses can or will testify that they heard a racial slur.. just the opposite.

At this point …zero evidence. Only what someone thought they heard.

Dawn Staley.. coach at S Carolina has cancelled their game with BYU calling it unsafe for her players.

No evidence of a threat or racial slurs from any BYU fan or player and S Carolina is using it to cancel the game? Or to get in on the “look at us” moment? Calling BYU “unsafe”?
    This is getting ridiculous.

Well I still hate BYU on account of their 1984 football team

Seems a lot of people overreacted in this situation. I’ll wait maybe another 2 days for anymore evidence to come out but it looks like we had a fake racism issue.

So BYU with a lot to lose says they can't find any evidence of this occurrence.

A volleyball player with little to gain says it happened.

You can pretty much determine where people on the political spectrum are going to fall with either of those scenarios.

Why can a game be “cancelled” because they refuse to play? It should count as a win for BYU, or at least a forfeit.

Hmmm, so one person said it happened, then Duke points out the “racist” yet after reviewing the recording there is no evidence at all. So yeah, you’re right, the “everyone’s racist” crowd jumps to conclusions. Congrats

You did fail to mention the total lack of evidence. Probably just a minor oversight on your part.

    See: Election, stolen

seriously, do you really think those claims of yours make any sense? Or are you just trying to get a reaction?

Feel free to point out anytime I said the election was stolen. I’ll wait. Otherwise this sounds like whataboutism.

What I would like would be the people calling out BYU apologize and say “my bad, I was wrong.” It’s that too much to ask?

No more so than some of the hot takes by the other side.
Both groups have people more than willing to throw firebombs with little to no proof.

Why didn’t the referees stop the game? If the player heard it, you know the line judges probably did. I’ll be the first to say that college aged kids aren’t as mature as they used to be and probably aren’t equipped enough to handle this but the refs totally should have stopped play until the person was taken out of the building.

There’s no place for stuff like that in sports.
