Honestly, I could believe that Trump took empty folders with him when he left. Given the rest of the contents of the boxes, this just sounds like he swept souvenirs off of his desk and out of his closet. No care or attention paid to organizing it or even worrying about what it was. "I'll sort through these later"

That will likely be his first or second defense position but I’m thinking naw.

I'm willing to bet Sub's life that empty classified doc. folders are NEVER supposed to simply be lying around anywhere.

They also have fingerprints on them. Everything the FBI recovered has prints. It's frightening to think of who might have had their hands on those docs. Must be especially frightening for the people who left those prints.

He said there was no legitimate reason for trump to have those records.
And that the DOJ was being “jerked around” and how long should they wait - so they had to go search for themselves

Her classified docs were emails which mostly were characterized as classified sometime after she received them. There were 30 or so of them. Trump and his minions wanted to lock her up. Comparing that to what Trump has done, presumably, Trump should spend the rest of his life in jail.

Like Cohen said, they are spread out at various other residences for Trump to use as leverage in the event of prosecution. DT needs to be taken to a black hole somewhere and left there

What the hell is wrong with you? It’s past time to move on from an attempt to overthrow our democracy which is continuing to this day? Again, what the hell is wrong with you?

I am pretty sure that she did the same thing that Colin Powell did before her. There was no intent to steal anything. It was more laziness and carelessness. They both intended to handle classified matters via government equipment. Trump was stealing government property, and doing it in a way that jeopardized the security of this country. The FBI did its job in investigating Clinton although Comey should have kept his mouth shut until after the election. The FBI is currently doing its job in investigating Trump.

the fbi should have taken possession of the server before she had a chance to wipe it. destroying the server was obstruction, and she knew it

    1. Abuse of Power by Biden, Garland, and Wray.

    2. They apparently used a general warrant which would explain the redactions because they were on another witch hunt. The warrant should have never been requested or approved. The DOJ has a whole lot of nothing.

    3. As I've been saying since I've been here, the democratic socialists can't run on Biden, so they have to run against Trump. This will get them an F grade come November 8. The DOJ/FBI, the US KGB, broke all of their "rules" concerning not doing anything to affect an election within 90 days of said election.

    4. You can indict a ham sandwich, so I expect the desperate dems to do just that. They will lose, but whatever gins up the rabid left wingers to vote. They don't have anything to vote for so give them something fabricated to vote against.

I thought you guys were the party of personal responsibility. Did Trump improperly possess sensitive government documents or not?

See if you can be cogent for once and answer the question Barr raised:

Why did Trump take and store sensitive national defense information documents in a country club?

You don’t know what a general warrant is. Embarrassing post. Stop playing amateur lawyer and listening to sources that mislead you. You can actually use Google to research abet a general warrant is. And they were spot on as to the possession and location of the documents. They obviously had very good informants and information.

She consulted with Powell on how to best set things up and followed what he had done when he was in the same job.

Ouch...in his own words no less.

"On political corruption, we are going to restore honor to our government, '' Trump said in August 2016. "In my administration, I'm going to enforce all laws concerning the protection of classified information. No one will be above the law."

I guess in his defense, there was no administration at the time of the current fiasco.

Donald Trump has repeatedly called for lengthy jail sentences for those who he claimed mishandled classified information - CNNPolitics
