HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) — An assistant principal at a public elementary school in Connecticut is facing an investigation by state education officials after apparently being secretly recorded saying he’d prefer not to hire politically conservative staff, including Roman Catholics. He also talks about how “more progressive teachers” are “savvy” about “delivering a Democratic message” to students without having to reveal their personal political preferences. This is crap we’ve been talking about. Libbies really are trying control our children. It’s pretty damn sickening. Catholic comments by Connecticut principal under scrutiny
Don’t care what your political persuasion is, there’s only one “b” in liberal! And why aren’t our moderators all over this! (Not the spelling, the politics!)
It was an honest mistake. O&B participates on Too Hot and the Insider Den. Also, in the future if you see a thread that you think is out of place you can hit the report button so the mods see. They can't be everywhere all at once.
So, you get upset about the Rochester couple thread because it's just one couple and doesn't prove anything. Adding: Then you start threads about a professor in Illinois and an assistant principle in Connecticut, claiming: and
What is your problem? We all lean a certain way and it’s very obvious that we post with bias. I don’t see you starting threads that attack liberals. I don’t see you ever take a different side other than the one you identify with. And you seem to enjoy calling out conservatives.
If you don’t see the irony of you doing exactly what you complain about others doing … but if you don’t get it, you don’t get it.
Did you read my reply to you? I admitted it. I definitely see it. And then I pointed out that you also have bias and it shows based on your choice of who you like to call out. It’s not a secret that most of us are more motivated to respond to one side of the debate.
Having a bias or a point of view is not the same thing as repeatedly doing the exact thing you complain about others doing.
The moral of the story is that in a society in which over 90 percent of the population has a device capable of recording whatever one says, be careful, be very careful before making a statement than can be construed as even remotely offensive or can be taken out context. "Big brother" is indeed real and he is us.
