Helluva speech by President Biden

Biden is turning out to be a very effective President.

 

I watched it. Was a very difficult speech to give. Called for unity but called out the MAGA republicans for anti-democracy activities.

My notes:

MAGA republicans as extremists. Not all of them he says.

MAGA republicans do not respect the constitution. Refuse to accept to accept the free elections.

MAGA forces are determined to take this country backwards. No right to body autonomy, contraception, marry who you want.

Biden is done ignoring Trump and the MAGAs.

America must chose to move forward or move backwards. A nation of hope and optimism or fear and lies.

Biden: MAGA republicans only accept 2 results, they either win or they were cheated.

Biden : we passed the most important climate initiative ever ever ever.

The future will be made in America!

Biden goes off script to addresses hecklers. Kills them with love. What a guy.

 

Trump wanted to temporarily ban travel from a few Muslim nations known to have extremist terrorists who hate America. It was not very effective and almost pointless but didn't hurt anyone.

Biden just called about half the country domestic terrorists and semi-fascist.

The last time I remember a nation's leader trying to demonize a portion of its population, it was Hitler getting the German people to hate Jews with speeches.

That was a damn scary speech.

 

Yeah man, this is like, the exact same thing as that. Totally.

 

It's cool. A lot of us true American patriots were scared for the future of America when your boy tried to stage a coup. Glad to see Biden calling out the violent MAGA extremists.

 

Yeah I think we are close to collapse or some sort of split. Wouldn't surprise me at all to see violence start happening between members of Congress after the midterms like you see in 3rd world countries.

Re: Trump no he didn’t. He wanted to ban ALL Muslim travel, this was his rhetoric during 2016. It took several iterations before his actual executive order passed the court, and even then it was a constitutionally toxic decision by the “conservatives” on the Supreme court given that Trump literally called it a Muslim ban during his campaigning (the argument before the court, on the 3rd revised version of the travel ban, was to basically pretend it was somehow NOT a religious test based ban… which even narrowing to 7 countries was too broad to be credible imo).

It’s about damn time Biden spoke out more forcefully about right wing extremists and their toxic culture. There is no religious test to Biden’s words. He’s calling out liars and shit peddlers like Infowars and the sorts sending death threats to teachers/public health/hospital workers (let alone the vile folks harassing mass shooting victims like Sandy Hook). These are evil people who need to be held accountable, not allowed to dodge in civil court or hide behind anonymity. Sending death threats is a crime. Spreading viral bs that leads to death threats needs to be dealt with more force as well imo.

 

If the collapse of our country is because of the unwavering idolatry of Trump by MAGA nation, that's really gonna sting in the history books. They could have at least picked a more worthy demagogue.

 

I mean, it's true. When's the last time a MAGA Republican admitted failure without blaming the Deep State, the fake news media, BLM, Antifa, Fauci etc?

 

6 years ago most people didn't get too involved in politics. Many to most took what they heard from the media as real safe information. Now, many Americans are not just paying attention, they are getting involved. Mom's for Liberty made a splash for the school boards in FL. They are getting involved. BTW, they are all MAGA. MAGA republicans not only respect the constitution, they know Biden is the one who does not respect it. MAGA women are really impressive. I'm hoping the dems will step up and debate before November, but the hiding in the basement play may be the best offense.

The only time he called for a total Muslim ban was during his campaign which he backtracked from in May 2016 well before the executive order even took place. And yes, it was a very stupid thing to say.

You continue to talk down on a group of people and demonize them the way he just did tonight, these types of attacks and attempts will only continue to increase.

Meanwhile, all the Jan 6th rioters who acted violently are serving prison time, and rightfully so. You'll find very few on the right who don't agree with that. Anyone who does is no better than those on the left who are ok with attacking police.

I haven’t seen anyone deflecting for the BLM rioters, I’m sure most sane Americans would like to see anyone held accountable who committed violence or vandalism (obviously an attack on the nations Capitol is always going to carry far more weight as an outrage, as much as some conservatives like to play the “whataboutism card” to the summer riots). One thing they both had in common is Trump was President and he handled it all abysmally.

 

Sickening speech and I don't want to hear any of you say anything about Trump inciting anything ever again. Biden's speech just made anything Trump did leading up to January 6th look like play time. Biden just literally called half of the country fascists and terrorists.

The reality is the left are the ones who are intolerant. If Hitler were alive today he would be a Democrat.

Biden's speech tonight was not a speech by a President, it was a speech by a Dictator.

Biden just declared open season on all conservatives. Biden will cause lives to be lost. Biden will have blood on his hands. For those of you in the middle, it's time to pick a side. There's no more being in the middle.

Of course Biden wants a response, hopefully he doesn't get it. If Biden gets his response he'll most likely suspend in person voting and declare martial law.

But Biden and the left will soon understand the truth. Our side is bigger than yours, our side is better trained than yours, our side has more weapons and ammunition than yours and our side will win and be on the right side of history. Biden better be careful what he wishes for because he might just get a real Civil War.
