In some months COVID was the leading cause of death. Early 2020, then almost five straight months at the end of 2020/beginning of 2021. September of 2021 it was in the lead again, and for most of January and February of 2022.

What the hell does that have to do with Kids going to school? We had data showing schools weren't transmitting covid anymore than the surrounding community. You and others who were for lockdowns and school closures now get to own the kids(mostly minorities) who are well behind in learning. Congrats.

Nothing, that is why I didn't post it as a reply to someone talking about kids going to school. What made you think it was meant to be about kids going to school?

Because the last few topics have been discussing school lockdowns.

From March, 2020. No Euro country had schools completely open. Most were open with limitations. Some countries, like Germany and Italy, were closed completely at this time.

As for scientific studies, the majority are often proven wrong on some level. Having debunked studies regarding COVID from both sides are absolutely to be expected. Especially since again, the virus was novel. The more studies that were finished, and the more data collected, the more the picture comes into focus. And the more we can realize why past studies were flawed, and why the results were what they were.

That's how science works. Real scientists understand this, and don't dismiss scientific studies because they go against their preconceived notions of what they think is the truth. Scientists also understand that the best course of action is usually go with the latest data recommendations, even if they know the data is likely to be proven wrong on some level in the future. But latest data is usually the best data available at the time.

The pandemic playbook throughout history was focused protection.

We botched this thing from all over. Trump was certainly not perfect. Biden has been an abject disaster.

See now we have charlatan's comparing schools in Europe closing for a few weeks or a month to he US who had remote learning for 2+ years for many parts of the country. This is how sick some people are and how far they will go to defend their idiotic stances. Will literally lie to make it look like they were right.

What parts of the country had schools closed completely with no options for more than 2+ years? Part of the problem was no national direction. I actually thought the CDC had good school open guidelines, and ones that my local district followed. If your area was green on the map, fully open. Yellow, take precautions, and red, be closed. My school district was in red the first two weeks of school and all learning was remote. By week 3, the area was in yellow, and there was a hybrid model of half the class on M and W, the other T and R, and F, fully remote. That lasted three weeks, until we were green. Full class.

Only once, did the area sink back into yellow, and they hybrid model lasted for 2 weeks during a period in Oct or Nov. I supported this, because it followed the best science at the time. Masks were also required for all, and I can tell you, my kid had no problem wearing one. But listening to parents go crazy over masks was funny. Sadly, these are the parents who probably told their kids to not worry about covering noses, and probably never changed or washed their kids' masks, which essentially made the policy useless.

But to go back to the beginning of the novel COVID virus, all the information we had on school closures were based on previous epidemics and pandemics. And that information all showed that closing schools was an effective way to reduce the transmission of a virus. We now know a lot more about COVID that we simply didn't know when the virus first hit our shores.

See, this is why I didn't reply to this charlatan for months. Finds one of the CDC "studies" that is has been completed trashed in the past already and trots it back out there like it's no big deal. I should've know better than to engage someone who has literally been so wrong for 2+ years. Lockdowns, school closures, masks, vaxxing kids. Someone this wrong is dangerous to people who are easily influenced.

Again, the majority of studies eventually are proven to be wrong. And often there are studies being published concurrently that have conflicting data and conclusions. So how do you know what's right? More studies to try and figure out why previous studies don't align.

But until you have this data, it is silly just to pick a side and say that's correct, and ignore all other data. Even if you are proven in the end to be correct, you are just guessing and hoping that your side is right. That's not good science, and certainly now following the data.

The fact that the CDC study has later been debunked doesn't bother me. What bothers me is people who point to this and say we should have known better. That's revisionist history at its worst.

Not Brazilian scientists, just this irreputible person who is bought and paid for by a Chinese Bio Pharma company that is funding his "trials". Per the article linked below, he has already been caught by Brazillian regulators editing data to ensure the "trials" show the results that he wants, not the actual results of the trials. That is why anyone with any common sense and legitimate scientific sources completely ignore crackpots like this.

Studies show that COVID vaccines cause massive blood damage (wnd.com)

(CONSERVATIVE PLAYLIST) – The theory of immunization has been thoroughly debunked for the new COVID mRNA vaccines. The process of bypassing the innate immune system with lipid nano-particles and the subsequent encoding and transcribing of spike proteins has proven to be toxic, inflammatory, damaging to the blood and destructive to the overall function of the cardiovascular system and the immune system.

Two medical studies, one from Italy and one from Germany, show that COVID vaccines cause extensive blood damage in humans. This blood damage is the common underlying factor behind the excesses in adverse events following COVID vaccination and is the foreboding biomarker behind all the new cases of heart inflammation, blood clotting, immune deficiency and cancer. The physiological damage caused by these experimental vaccines far outweighs the damage caused by traditional biologic

After one month from time of inoculation, approximately 94 percent of the subjects’ blood samples showed aggregation of erythrocytes. Also present were various particles of unknown origin. The slides show visible packing and stacking of red blood cells, the type of damage that precedes circulatory disorders. The slides show the formation of “gigantic conglomerate foreign structures” which did not appear before vaccination.

“In our collective experience, and in our shared professional opinion, the large quantity of particles in the blood of mRNA injection recipients is incompatible with normal blood flow especially at the level of the capillaries,” the researchers concluded. “With the hematological pictures we have presented here it is reasonable to expect reactivation of oncological disease along with blood circulation disorders.”

Due to the introduction of these elements, the vaccinated experience long term changes in the composition of their blood, including crystalline formations. The researchers “frequently observed an unusually rapid disintegration of the different types of cells in the vaccinated blood.”

“In order to avert a direct and imminent danger to human life and public safety, we ask that the Covid-19 vaccination programmes be discontinued immediately,” wrote the Working Group for Covid Vaccine Analysis. This group includes more than 60 doctors, physicians, pharmacists, scientists, mathematicians, alternative health practitioners, lawyers and journalists.
