   In our family scripture study last night we read Proverbs 16. This line seemed appropriate here:
   
   2 All the ways of a man are clean in his own eyes; but the Lord weigheth the spirits.
   
   It is hard to accept that we are wrong, much easier to insist that we aren't really racist, or we aren't really the kind of person who would send those emails. We always put the best spin on our own actions, even if we have to lie to ourselves to do so.
