First I've watched this year Lot of new faces out there. Exciting rally to get set #4. Keep the home crowd Mo going.
Some good Gator serving to get the early lead in set 5, 5-1, giving it back now, 8-10 . Stanford with 5 straight pts.
Good learning experience for a young team, just sucks because it was very winnable. the one thing I’ve always disagreed with Mary on his how long she takes to call timeouts sometimes. Her waiting 8 points on that first set might very well have been the difference in the match.
do not know why, but it seems that we are never very good in 5 set matches, especially the last few years.

I was at the match. We should have won set one. Set two Stanford got an edge and played well and won a hard earned set. Set three we dominated. Set four we dug a hole and found a way to win. Set five we got a huge early advantage but couldn't close the deal. Just a match that could have gone either way with two good teams playing each other. Actually not that bad considering how young the team is and how little experience they have playing together. Again impressed with the setting I saw from a freshman. She picked a number of good times to make quick sets. Wisdom that usually comes from more experience. On the other hand this is not a typical Stanford team that is going to dominate. They are good, but not great. Whoever #10 was on Stanford played really well from every position on the floor.
I agree this is a team that has true potential, just young and learning how best to play with each other, so many new faces but lots of talent
