    Corrections:
    Thibault was one of 13 assistant special agents in charge at the Washington field office, not the head of it.

    He was walked out of the building on Friday, not forcibly removed, which apparently is standard procedure.

    Thibault retired, and was walked out of the building, which is standard practice.

    It does seem it wasn’t a normally planned retirement. He was recently removed from supervisory roles due to allegations of political bias in the Hunter laptop investigation. It might be a retirement was the best course of action for him.

    I’m not sure of the relevance of some of these posts. I am sure of what the removal of Thibault suggests, namely that the FBI is dedicated to removal of agents who let partisanship interfere with their duty to be non-partial. It certainly does not suggest widespread partisan corruption, which is what some want us to conclude.
