The 2020 election is done. Over. Finito. Decided. Period. No going back. No redos. No Do-overs. And Donald Trump needs to stop acting like a little bitch.

He needs to start acting like a grown man.

Even if. EVEN IF there were rock hard ironclad video and eyewitness evidence of absolute election fraud that can be proven in a court of law, EVEN IF THAT WERE THE CASE:

THE ELECTION WOULD NOT BE CHANGED AND THE RESULT WILL NOT BE CHANGED BECAUSE THE CONSTITUTION DOES NOT ALLOW FOR IT.

All these little Trump sycophants who're out there dropping hot steaming ones all over DeSantis because Trump cannot act like an adult need to knock it off as well.

Donald Trump is not Jesus Christ, I know this is really hard for a lot of people, especially Donald Trump. But part of being an American is accepting that things did not go your way and learning from it and moving on.

This is deadly serious business and "trolling" as entertaining as a lot of people like to think it is, is not conducive to the health and well-being of the United States of America.

I don't care what the Democrats did, they are a known quantity, they are not going to change. Acting like we're going to kick Biden out of the White House because of some conspiracy theory is damaging to the country.

It's what got Ashley Babbit dead.

It's what has put a bunch of simpletons in prison that had no business being in DC on January 6th.

Imagine if Trump had just shut his mouth and stepped away gracefully how many people would be alive today and not in prison while he plotted his (potentially) triumphant return?

It's time to move on, act like adults and nominate a grown ass man or woman who can responsibly lead this party.

I had 3 guesses for the "Come on, man" reaction. I was right.

I nailed it on one guess.

    Well said Vendi.

I think more of us need to say what you are saying. For the sake of the conservative beliefs that we hold dear, we have to move on from the jackassery of the buffoon that I regretfully helped elect in 2016.

I don't know if Trump will run again. I think that's increasingly likely. While he'd probably be a more favorable matchup for Democrats in a general election, I don't even want to risk him getting back in the WH. On the other hand, I think I would like to see Trump run and get beat convincingly in the GOP primary. That would not stop Trump from claiming fraud (remember Trump also accused Ted Cruz of cheating in 2016 when he lost a vote), but once the GOP had a new/different nominee, I think all but his most loyal supporters would be happy to move on and close this chapter.

But I'm also increasingly wondering if someone like DeSantis would want to get into a primary fight with Trump given that even if Trump were to win in 2024, he'd be an immediate lame duck.

Why in the world would he be a lame duck? If he were to win in 2024, it would obviously be a mandate to finish what he started on 1/6: install himself as dictator. (Why do you think he wanted to go with the armed mob to Capitol Hill but the Secret Service wouldn't let him? It was to be a personally led coup d'etat, what else?) And if he were to win in 2024, guess what. The country would deserve it, getting exactly what it asked for.

Everyone here who is a patriot - one who respects the Constitution and puts country over party - should feel exactly how you feel regardless of their political party. The come on man is just disgusting.

Donald Trump has never acted like a grown up, all the way back to when he adopted a pseudonym and dialed into radio shows making believe he's someone else. He's just a bully who has always bought (usually with other people's money) bought his way out of trouble.

My intense dislike of him long predates his political career.

I do see some cracks forming (finally) on the Republican side. But not enough to take away the nomination from him as of now. He is still just north of 50 percent in most polls, and no one has United the disaffected.
Then the question becomes, will those disaffected people come home in November when they see Biden pandering to the left, which they despise? (Assuming he runs too).
And can Biden energize his base as an 82 year old if he runs?
If he doesn’t run, Kamala will be the choice of the base probably - the optics of a VP not getting first crack when she’s the first black woman there make it all but impossible to not let her try…and she can’t beat Trump.
So a lot yet to be decided obviously.

I tried, the county organization rinoed me out (I made a fuss about them spending big bucks on a third string guy whose claim to fame was blowing the Hillary emails scandal wide open, everyone else thought having him come in to speak was going to be awesome, this was in 2017). The party has made their choice. I think some of the deep pockets are trying to push Trump aside for DeSantis, but it is an uphill battle because Trump's disciple's are all in for Trump.

Yes. It is important to the country to have a functional Republican Party that offers countervailing ideas and policies rather than the cult of donald.
Once that happens maybe we could work to get the dark money out of politics (a boy can wish).

Most people have moved on. There is a fringe right just like there is a fringe left. Those people are nuts on both sides. I literally know no one who thinks trump won the election.

Interesting, because over 70 percent of republicans believe he definitely or probably won. And less than a quarter think Biden legitimately won the election. This poll isn’t an outlier either.

Just 21 percent of Republicans say Biden "probably" or "definitely" won in 2020: poll

I have many self-professed conservative friends that think like this and I very much disagree. People have shut their mouths for too long and just are not going to do it anymore. There are too many people that are tired of the political class, the unelected bureaucrats and outside global influences weakening our country for their benefit the last 30 years. People are awake to the unethical and dishonest media.

When you talk about leading the party, do you want a person who was elected from millions of small donations or someone who gets 85% of their donations from Wall Street? One is beholden to the people and one to corporate America. Who is really more a grown ass person?
