The exact same thing can be said of the 2016 Election where the FBI decided to not publicize the fact that the Trump Campaign was under investigation for its dealings with Russia.

It reminds me of how Ben Shapiro said he could not support Trump in 2016 but would in 2020 because, in part, he thought Trump had already done all the damage he was going to do.

Didn't the FBI say in 2016/2017 that it's their preferred practice to NOT announce politically charged investigations in the months or weeks prior to elections? I remember Comey getting grilled on why he broke that rule for Hillary but not for Trump... Anyway, in different thread on this, no one could show where the FBI warned any publications not to share the Hunter Biden laptop story, specifically. It was a general warning about Russian disinformation. Right wing media did try to make Hunter Biden's lap top a story, and failed. It's because it's a non-story and nobody cares.
