OL/OT has been a problem since Muschamp failed to recruit OL. I wish we could just get out of this hole.

We will, big boys are just rare and everyone wants them. There’s tons of skill guys to go around but not many 6’6” 330 guys that are seriously agile.

Maybe because the staff is so hyper-focused on recruiting Florida talent and there's almost no OL talent in the state.

Gotta start by regaining control of your own back yard. You expand from there. It doesn’t happen in a matter of months. Many of the relationships are built over years of development. BTW, we’re still coming off a 6-7 season with a coach who got canned. Give these guys a little time.

O-line is by many accounts the strength of the team this year and it is made up of Hevesy recruits and transfer from Lafayette. We don’t have to get the 5 stars at this position to have a great line. The current problem is we hardly have anyone recruited right now. I think only 2 guys, right? And the board isn’t deep as far as we know, especially at tackle. I’m curious how many guys the coaches were wanting to take on the line this year.

2 committed, likely 3 or 4 tops, current leader for caden jones out of new orleans who is a high 3 star on 247 sports and a 4 star on rivals. doing fine so no need to be discouraged or negative.

late to offer party on march 1 but got an official in june. 2 cb to uga, but unofficially visited bama at end of july. still has 3 officials left. i'd keep recruiting him, but wouldn't hold a slot open if someone else wants onboard. high level competition even if commits early.

It’s never deep at ot. I’m sure we are recruiting a few and let’s hope we can get 1-2. Everyone else wants tge same guys we do and there aren’t many to go around.

I don’t follow like I used to but the state generated the Pouncey twins, Marcus Gilbert, Matt Patchan, and many other OL back in the Meyer heydays. Surely the state still has the big uglies around.

Just a thin year but there are many 3* big boys that turn out to be nfl quality players. Looks like we may have to roll the dice on a couple. Time for some elite evaluations and having incite into what the kid can become. From 17 to 22, some of these kids don’t even resemble themselves from five years ago. It’s much easier to see a talented qb or receiver’s talent.
