trump camp? As I said earlier, a properly redacted affidavit can only hurt one of the parties.

Most likely the DOJ. The Trump camp wants as much information now as it can get. I didn’t see that the DOJ agreed with the Judge to release it and the parties have a right to District Court review of what is an unusual procedure. We will know soon.

I thinking that if the judge approved all the redactions applied by the DOJ to protect privacy and the criminal investigation, the DOJ wouldn't have a very strong case that releasing the affidavit would be damaging.

As you said, time will tell...

The DOJ case would be that any disclosure prejudices it’s case. In a normal case, nothing In an application is released until Indictment. This is only ordered because Trump is a former president

Also, verification that it was, indeed, paragraph (e) of 793.

And it does seem likely that names of sources were in documents.

Have you read anything about the investigation, what they were looking for, what they found and the crimes likely committed? Do you even understand what's going on? The likely criminal complaints are serious, everyone of them punishable by imprisonment. You haven't had an intelligent response to any of this. All you can do is repeat what the wingnuts from MAGA land repeat over and over again. It's different now. He's not protected at all by executive privilege. He's in deep shit.

The DOJ won't do anything until the midterm elections are over, but I can't see how they don't eventually act. Trump had top secret documents in an unauthorized area, and many attempts were made to give Trump an out and return them without consequence.

While I won't celebrate just yet that the Teflon Don will finally have something stick to him, this time has some several differences this time. Trump is no longer POTUS, and doesn't have the protections that come with the office. Nor will Trump be impeached, and have a "jury" made up of half of them being fellow R politicians.

We'll see how this plays out, but if read the affidavit, Trump put the national security of the nation in peril with his actions. I can see an agreement, for the good of the country, to keep Trump out of jail, as long as he pleads guilty, which would make him ineligible to hold office again. But that depends of Trump the narcissist admitting guilt.

Admittedly, I haven't read the affidavit although even with the redactions it seems to indicate that Trump lied regarding the documents that he took from the White House and claimed to have returned and that he was incredibly careless with documents marked with highest classifications.

So this seems coincidental, but a good story on something every competent intelligence agency in the world should be doing if they weren't already:

Federal authorities investigating Ukrainian immigrant who posed as a Rothschild, rubbed elbows with Trump and his allies at Mar-a-Lago

Woman claims to be a Rothschild, has a bunch of money mysteriously show up to support her, and then gains access to Trump and Lindsey Graham and hangs around Mar-a-Lago, a building with unsecured classified documents.
