All you need to know about the Covid shot and science… A twice infected professional athlete. One of the greatest of all time in their sport. One that takes their health more serious than 99.99% of people out there. Is not allowed to enter our country because he has not taken the “shot”. Think about this. Our country dropped “testing” as a requirement to enter the country as a noncitizen but not “taking the shot”. A “shot” that science shows us does not prevent infection or spread. It should infuriate every single person that our country’s leadership is this obtuse and stupid. We fired 60K from the National Guard for not taking a “shot” that has shown to not work for a disease where the risk gradient makes them at almost no risk. Please don’t make false accusations. This is a pure lie. And nothing I said supports it. I was for the Covid shot for high risk groups early on. At this point it is pointless. Many vaccines should be taken based on risk/benefit. My kids and myself are vaccinated for many diseases. They will continue to get their vaccines that we think they should get. It is frustrating that too hot has gotten to the point where you (who I respect) would make such a fallacious comment. No wonder so many left. It might just be time for me as well…
What? You think people should be required to take drug they don’t need? You think ignoring natural immunity (Djokovic almost surely had one of the omicron strains in his twice infected self) is science? You think dropping testing but requiring a drug that does not stop Covid makes sense? Okay…
If it came off as snarky I apologize, but I was speaking specifically about Covid vaccines. It’s good that you and your family are vaccinated. I sincerely respect the idea that you are willing to form your own opinion on stuff like this and not follow the crowd, it’s just the constant drumbeat of similar threads that gets frustrating, at least for me. I would assume others have similar views. But going forward you have my word that any responses will be fact based and not like my post above. And if I do, call me out in it, the last thing I ever want to be is a hypocrite, those posts frustrate me too. I hope you stay, even if we don’t always agree.
