After watching highlights from both Tony Livingston and Alex Svzmcvzk, they remind me a little of Andrew DeClerc and Demetri “da meat hook”. Alek is a better shooter than Andrew but not as fast and relentless. Tony has more moves and has a good shot and drives to the basket, can score with either hand. Tony is very good basketball player that could help this team. Hope CTG will let him walk on and give him a chance. Demetri was wider and controlled the paint. His jump hook was money! Brings back great memories and hopefully these two new players will work their way into some playing time where we can cheer them on when they help us to the NCAA tournament. I will be in the house at the SEC tournament where we will be coming together and a tough out for anybody we play!

Seeing the highlights of Tony and of our new recruit Alek, it brings back memories of 1994.
Andrew DeClerq and Demetri “da meathook” Hill
With these two new additions to the team brings a little deja vu. Alek has an better outside shooting stroke but Andrew had relentless drive and foot speed. Demetri controlled the paint and had a great jump hook which players couldn’t defend due to his wide girth, it was money. Tony has a better all round game, shooting and driving and finishing. can’t wait till the SEC tournament in Nashville this year which I am going to be in attendance to see these two young players help us get to the NCAA tournament. FYI….
Nashville has proposed a new football domed stadium to replace the current stadium. A lot of people behind it. If it gets the go ahead soon, we should soon see them hosting both regional and final fours down the road.
Proposed completion the authors are looking for 2026

It appears that Tony will not be enrolling at UF in the fall. If he ends up qualifying, he could possibly enroll for the following semester.

If he's having trouble even qualifying, it suggests to me that if he DOES get in, he'd better stick to one sport only.

He didn’t get in to UF. Hopefully, it’s just temporary.

Andrew D was an odd talent.

He was a great rebounder and interior defender as well as a deer running the floor. An unusual combo. His blocks in the Miami Regional were after running down guards trying to score. Those plays probably got him his NBA career. Ten years in the NBA is a lot.

He was never much of a scorer but that was never in his job description. He was really good at what he could do well.

He typified that '94 Final Four team. If you looked at the roster, no great talents jumped out at you. What you had was a team full of guys that could do one or two things well and that understood their roles within the team concept. And all of them were exactly where they were supposed to be on defense. One of my favorite Gator teams ever.
