USDA blah blah blah. How many hundreds of farms in California have lead to hundreds of dead over the past 30 years all under the watchful eye of the US government? If I had the power, I would shut down every farm based in California right now because all of them would fail inspection. It's why I've stopped buying produce and buy it locally. I don't fear the reaper when some outbreak hits bags of salad mix.

Keeping it cool is important, but pasteurization is a heating process that kills pathogens and is required by the FDA for interstate sales of milk. Can you really blame the feds for getting involved when their products are not following laws and making people.sick?
