What are Dems doing with Student debt? And why??

$10K wouldn't cover a respectable college freshman's liquor bill back in my day.

 

Not gonna lie.. I got 20k of debt left and Im not crying about this one. Im trying to think of a way to get my daughter in early before this hits so I can get a 2fer.

 

As you should and most conservatives will complain about it on the Internet and TV about it but I guarantee they take advantage of the benefit.

 

Is this a one time deal or likely to repeat during election season?

Then people who borrow money to open a business that struggles or fails should just suck it and not apply for help from the government either. They should repay their PPP loan and not ask for or accept forgiveness for it. Right?

 

Disagree on two counts:

1) What federal program is there that aids struggling or failing small businesses that is not open to anyone?

2) PPP was a benefit created to offset government induced panic as well as government created lockdowns. No government/media created panic, no need for PPP. For businesses deemed “non-essential” it was a necessity. It was a benefit more to the employees impacted by government than a benefit to business owners.

PPP was and still is the only logical government response to Covid. Even the initial stimulus check for $1,200 should have been targeted. The subsequent $600 and $1,400 checks either should have not been done or should have been much, much more targeted than the first one should have been. The $600/week additional federal unemployment was a bit high and should have had much tighter restrictions.

Could care less what Pelosi said yesterday, she knows it's wrong.

You guys have to know a vote for the democrats is a vote against the republic and for socialist tyranny with a dictator. Unilateral action in the executive is absolute proof of the dictatorship the US has in Joe Biden as this could have never passed in the congress.

There is no legal foundation for the anyone in the White House other than a dictator to take this unprecedented action. These unprecedented actions are adding up on Biden's watch.

The United States of America is a Banana Republic founded in July 2016 and 100% proven by Dictator Biden actions and his socialist administration.

 

PPP was largely a scam to pass money out of the federal treasury to Trump and Kushner's buddies.

 

There is a very good chance that this student loan program will be struck down by the courts.

Just like your hero Ronnie the king of floriduh just had his 1st amendment defying actions struck.

And just to remind you, 81M Americans voted for Biden. If they don't like the job he does in office, they can remove him in 2025.

 

Let me know when somebody grows the balls and actually sues Dictator Biden. The republic leadership so far is a windbag disgrace.

I lived and studied for a year at the university in Tübingen, Germany. It was almost free. But that country, like most in Western Europe, is subsidized by the government as an investment in their futures. The government also subsidizes health care and provides other benefits. Imagine that! As a result, the citizenry of Germany is far healthier and more educated than Americans. We regrettably view that as socialism. It isn’t.

Our educational system and how we pay for it is a mess, but as long as the GOP has the power to say “No!”, meaningful reform won’t happen, and we’ll remain a nation with people who vote for the likes of Trump.

 

That’s nonsense and I think you know that.

 

So 17 year olds are making these decisions to borrow thousands of dollars completely on their own, with no input from a parent, guardian, high-school or college administrator, friend, etc. Seems a bit irresponsible to me.
