You guys didn't even know what a woman was until Roe was overturned. What is a woman?

 

You realize that Congressional districts don't match the politics of their overall states, right?

 

NOT a red herring. She makes the same choice he does. We all know the cause of pregnancy. Males and females have more birth control options today than ever before so, logically, abortions should be rare. Instead, it is treated like just another birth control option and is called by some healthcare. It is NOT healthcare. It has become big business and the evil insanity behind it is totally unmasked by the push for abortions up until and even beyond birth.

If a baby is not created at conception then there is no such thing as a father and, for that matter, no such thing as a right to life for anyone at any age. You are only human when "we" say you are.

 

I think it's clear the SCOTUS acting when it did was a huge strategic blunder. I don't give a crap what anyone does with their doctor or lover.

I'd hoped this election would be a referendum on spending, health policy, and big government.

That's gone because we decided to make states rights the key topic like it's the 1800's again.

 

Apparently you know nothing about the politics in New York State. The city is heavily democratic but the upstate area is heavily republican. The city has more population than the upstate area.

Then the woman can make the same decision before allowing the guy to have sex with her. It’s not a red herring .Both of the parents should have the right to say no. Not just one. Equal rights right?

 

Men can and do opt out of support - swing by the next welfare thread if you're unaware of that. At most, if they can be tracked down, they'll have to make some payments but still have their nights and weekends free to be a helpless 2nd class citizen.

But poor, 2nd class citizen men with their uncontrollable penises have no choice, right? Thanks for making the point that women bare all the responsibility and all of the consequences.

 

The decision to consent to sex does not itself imply future control over a person's body to the person granted that right at a specific time. The decision of what to do in the future with your body should be your sole choice. In the same way that consent to sex at one time does not mean a permanent consent to sex at all times.

 

They know this. But people want to hold men responsible for everything. Men get no say in if the baby is born or aborted. If born … men get no say in if they support the child or not. The man is responsible for everything and has no say in it at all. Women get to make all the decisions and make the man pay for those decisions.

 

I’m asking for equal rights. Both sides get an equal say. And men don’t get to legally opt out. They may not pay and can be held in contempt of court and places in jail, or the women may not force them to but it isn’t the guys choice. Equal choice.. right? Women and their uncontrollable vaginas.. right? It still takes two adults and it still takes both parts make and female.. egg and Soren…right? Why does only one half get a day in what happens afterwards?

 

You don't have equal rights to another person's body that they have. That is what you are requesting. Both parties have the ability to consent to what the other person does with their body at a specific time (which is where there are equal rights). Neither party can legally force somebody to engage in a sex act, for example. That right is not rescinded by the fact that there was prior consent. Again, if you can withdraw consent for the same access in the future, you certainly can deny consent for different access in the future as well.

 

Until a fetus can be implanted in the man, and he has to bear the brunt of pregnancy, there is nothing that is going to be equal about this. The man can can choose to disappear and be done with the woman. The woman would still be pregnant regardless.

 

Studies using European data indicate that the most effective method of preventing unwanted pregnancies is a combination of comprehensive sex education and easy access to contraceptives yet a significant percentage of the so called prolife community opposes both. In reality they are puritans who believe that sex is permissible only within marriage and only if procreation is a possibility.

 

Equal rights will occur when men can carry a child. Until then, rights aren’t equal and neither are the consequences of those choices.

And if men could carry babies, Roe would still be good law and the predominantly male legislatures who’ve passed most of these “life begins when I get hard” statutes would have a different opinion of when life begins.

 

From the very start it is equal. Both sides can say yes, no , with protection or without. Equal.
Only the woman gets to decide if the baby is born. Ok.. her body. If she chooses yes I want to have this baby, then she chooses to support it. If she chooses no I don’t then no one supports it.
Or… and this is important, maybe not having unprotected sex with random you don’t want to raise a child with should be the priority.

 

Feel free to prove the last point. It’s hyperbole conjecture at best.

 

As I always say, for anti-abortion people, it really all comes down to control of women's sexuality. They always tell on themselves by saying stuff like this.

 

Most who are pro life are anti safe sex? Maybe 50 years ago. And most 15-22 year old wanting to have sex have a basic understanding of how to prevent a pregnancy. It’s not some secret, hidden formula. It’s available in any corner store, grocery store, gas station, etc…
