In a free society, two consenting adults should be free to settle their differences through a duel. If consenting adults can participate in MMA or boxing, which would be a crime outside of a sporting arena, I see no substantial difference between that and a, sanctioned, consenting duel. Dueling seems less funny and more brutal if people are just firing full auto AR's at each other at 20 paces
As with all duels, weapons are decided ahead of time. I recently learned the story of a duel Abraham Lincoln was in, where he got to choose the weapon.
