Florida & New York Primaries: August 23, 2022, election results - Ballotpedia Hope everybody of all persuasions who did not vote early will make time to vote today.
It was nice of DeSantis to send out a list of who he supported. It made it easy to vote against them without having to do a bunch of research on things like school board elections. I don't support culture war nonsense in the GOP
I'm not a Dem. I didn't start voting Dem until 2016 when the GOP went off the rails. Prior to 2016 I voted for one Dem my whole life in fact.
If a fact is you are endorsed by Moms For Liberty or are a member of the Federalist Society, that's pretty much all the facts I need to vote against you. You cant even vote party line for judges or school board, they are NP races.
The ultra-politicization of the local boards is getting crazy. The school board races are bad enough, but some of the crazies running for things like the hospital board here in Sarasota seem to have real shots of getting elected for no other reason than their placement on the ballot. Hopefully people are paying attention...
There's a member of my wife's family that is coocoo Fox News/Tucker/Trump. He brought over a yard sign for a school board candidate that he wanted to put in our yard because we have a very visible front lawn. It was all I needed to know to vote for her opponent.
Its really the only shot true psychos have to win local elections here, thanks to making them non partisan
If you are still voting all dem after the lockdowns, school closures, masking kids and Vax mandates of kids then you were never much of a conservative.
Yeah, that's my point. The GOP isn't conservative either. So now I'll at least vote for the party that isn't actively trying to thwart the will of voters in this country, and actually has a platform outside of culture war stuff.
They also don't vote for things... they vote against things. Things like freedom and liberty and non issues for the Leftist commies.
