Could YOU pull the trigger on Putin ?

Guess I'm not one of the cool kids as I don't get the reference.

 

He’s referring to one of the other Russian agents who was on here trying to convince us what a bunch of victims the Russians were, yet how they would kick our teeth in if we intervened. You know, that sort of Kremlin sewage only an idiot would believe.

 

Putin had 3 key demands:
1. Ukraine should not join NATO.
2. No foreign missiles in Ukraine.
3. Ukraine must stop shelling Russian-speake4s in the Donbas.

War was easily avoidable.

 

Ah yes, the old " look what you made me do" defense. Thanks Vlad.

 

4. Take over Ukrainian territory.

That’s like the mob saying, “You could’ve avoided all this bloodshed if you had just paid the ‘protection’ money.“

 

Well, now Ukraine has only one demand, even simpler:

1. Every stinking Russian in Ukraine, including Crimea and the eastern territories, walks until they find themselves on the Russian side of the border.

It’s a fair offer. Your people should strongly consider it. It seems to me your alternative to this slow exsanguination is to speed it up by expanding a losing war and potentially bring in NATO. If you bring in NATO, then you have two unappetizing choices:

1. Go nuclear and end Russia for all time. Perhaps the rest of civilization, too, but certainly Russia. Spoiler alert: NATO nuclear weapons will actually launch on command, will actually hit their targets, and will actually detonate without fizzling. Given the poor performance of your conventional weapon systems, I don’t think you can make the same statement. If I were Botswana or Sri Lanka, then I would be terrified by the prospect of you trying to hit the U.S. with nukes.

2. Stay conventional and face a military that knows how to fight (you know, one that can do air assaults, amphibious landings, wet-gap crossings, and integrated air-ground operations). You think squaring off with a bunch of Ukrainian farm boys and blacksmiths armed with Western weapons has been tough? Imagine a world where the only way to save your Air Force is to keep it on the ground in Siberia and to save your warships is to keep them in port in Vladivostok, Murmansk et al.

Putin has lost. Putin is a loser. It’s all over except for how many more people have to die before Putin does.

 

This may be the saddest thing I've ever read: when one justifies becoming that which they would destroy.

If killing is truly your answer to evil, you are truly lost. But, if these are just the ramblings of your frustration, I urge you to turn away from this type of thinking and instead seek the peace (and foregiveness for these evil thoughts) of the one you (and I) call Lord.

 

We've come a long way from the first Christians who refused to serve in the Roman military, many of whom were put to death for their refusal. Of course that's what happens when you fuse religion with nationalism and have to justify state violence. Now it becomes a Christian duty to kill! A religion of violence for the violent.

 

NATO is weak. Germany couldn't a 5 day war, for 3xample. Russian military technology is superior to US tech and the gap is growing.

 

Yeah, clearly. Your vaunted army doesn’t seem to like the taste of NATO surplus man-portable weapons. You would love gorging on weapons you have absolutely no countermeasures for, such as the F22 and F35. Your military is a joke, comrade. Sorry you’ve been lied to. If it makes you feel any better, we in the West were just as mistaken about the skill and proficiency of your forces as you were.
