Sounds like your friend is smart and you need to listen to him. Negative data is suppressed, masks don't work, kids don't need the vaccine unless they have underlying issues. We don't know long term affects from the vaccine at this point and not sure we I buy the mRNA shots change your nRNA.

Sometimes, specialists lose the perspective of the forest for the trees. However, what is more likely the case is that his understanding of the immune system is just enough to confirm his pre-conceived biases.

If he is serious about understanding how the immune system works, how it is being trained by the vaccines (and following an infection) and how both scenarios continue to demonstrate extremely robust long term protection against severe disease, provide him the two links below. They are extremely well written. The second link is peer reviewed for accuracy, and they are very easy to understand.

I have linked the second one before to try to discuss the idiocy of people claiming that the mRNA vaccines are "out dated" or not "effective against variants" from the people who do not know what they are talking about, but to no avail. No matter how well educated people are, some just desire to demonstrate willful ignorance.

You aren’t going to get anywhere. This is a circular argument that will never end. The current vaccines are less effective at preventing infection because the spike changed and Omicron B5 is so infectious. And it infects before the body recognizes the disease and creates T cells. The vaccines still teach the body to recognize the viral protein and respond. So, severe illness and deaths are lower. And people had prior infections. Because the vaccines are not as effective as they were against the original form of the virus, the anti-vaxxers have jumped all over it with their nonsense. You will never change their minds.

Totally agree. That is why I stopped posting information in the Vaccines, Cures thread and had completely given up on this one. I got tired for scrolling through pages of igorance, propganda and dis-information to find a post or two discussing SARS-CoV-2. I do not block people anymore, but I have completely stopped reading posts, responding to or even acknowledging about 10-12 people now because the unrelenting stream of misinformation BS is tiresome.

I know, it gets tiresome dealing with people who want to vaccinate perfectly healthy kids. Those people are the worst kind of people. Dumb and sadistic.

Perfectly healthy kids with no recourse for injury. Some here may say this debate goes around and around in a circle. I think they are wrong. I think thousands and thousands of people have buyers remorse especially knowing the drug companies are not liable for the shots that injured them.

And I'm tired of hearing about the so called science. Science is the repeating and replicating of data through process, through control groups and eliminating confounding variables. All these things take time. They rushed the science, are hiding from liability and have covered up injuries. We have a Science Direct article above discussing T-Cells. I'll share another by Science Direct. SD shares a paper by the Journal of Food and Chemical Toxicology that found the gene-editing shots to cause neurodegenerative disease, myocarditis, Bell’s palsy, liver disease, impaired adaptive immunity, impaired DNA damage response and tumorigenesis. The paper has a lot of references.
Innate immune suppression by SARS-CoV-2 mRNA vaccinations: The role of G-quadruplexes, exosomes, and MicroRNAs - ScienceDirect

The circle is all about what is best for you. If you want the vaccine and boosters, you should take them. If you don't want to take them... don't. We all know now, it spreads whether you are vaccinated or not. No emergency situation should force someone to put something in their body they do not want especially since the narrative "for the greater good" has been proven to be false. Why has "cause of death unknown" become so popular. In Alberta, it went from 500 in 2019 to 3,600 in 2021. That's just one little part of the world. Buyers remorse is real and gaining steam.

There is a reason so many doses of the vaccine are being thrown away. I think your friend has a pretty good understanding of why.

Moderna recently trashed 30 million doses.

“According to The Wall Street Journal, vaccine maker Moderna (NASDAQ:MRNA) recently threw away about 30M doses of its messenger RNA-based shot as procurements dropped amid the waning impact of the pandemic.”

Tens of millions of COVID-19 shots being thrown away as demand drops (NASDAQ:MRNA) | Seeking Alpha

It is a shame we had such an awful and damaging public health response to this. Doctors are in a bad spot because they use to trust people like fauci and entities like the cdc. But they have been let down by just a disastrous public health response. They see it. They know now we should have given these shots to the elderly only and worked to have newer generations of these drugs. Nate as they watched us push a new technology that has completely missed the mark on what the public health experts in charge said it would do. And we destroyed the ability to have low risk control groups to work with. It has to be extremely frustrating to be a doctor today. My doctor who told me he would recommend I get the shot (only Moderna)…almost surely would not suggest that anymore. He was doing his best in September of 2021 but was failed by fauci/the cdc/and the small group of public health leaders. We both know it.

There is a reason less than 5% of parents are giving this shot to their young children. And fauci is one of the reasons why this small group was so scared to inject their child with an unnecessary drug. He will go down as one of the worst people in the History of mankind because of the last couple of years.

We should have had an omicron version of a drug for the high risk. And we did not because our public health leaders failed us and silenced those who questioned them.

Thanks. Not a specialist more of a GP but given what he does I could see not necessarily diving into further detail. I tried to explain how I thought long term is different and he said that was old vaccines but mRNA is different, and at one point said something to the effect the vaccine changes your dna or RNA. I said no it doesn’t but this wasn’t the whole point of our conversation. The fact that he seems to not know how mRNA vaccines works and thinks it changes your dna is utterly baffling to me that a god damned physician would think that. It really makes me wonder about the competency of some physicians out there.

i don’t know if I’m going to bother sending links or not. I’ll give it some thought. I felt very awkward as an accountant arguing with a physician on such issues.

numbers would be lower except illinios for the last month has not reported any new tests, yet continues to pad the numbers by reporting new cases and deaths, a homage to fauci i guess.

Please note the article bases it's premises on VAERS data. Easily manipulated, unverifiable. It is written by a computer scientist, an alternative medical practitioner. and an American Freedom Dr. whose web site is asking for vaccine injury reports. LOL

I have never listened to Dr. Drew. I have no clue who Clifton Duncan is. Yet this was live streaming today and popped up at a time I happened to be on FB.

Really good listen! I have very little in common with Clifton Duncan (think he is an actor from listening/have not googled him yet to see who he is). Pro choice progressive is how I believe he described himself.

But he was spot on when it came to Covid.

So many lines were perfect. Coming from a person with a completely different view than me.

That second link is very good at explaining the whole immunity process and helped fill in some holes in my understanding of how antibodies vs T cells work.

I was really hoping someone would post an hour and 26 minute video about a TV celebrity's views on Covid today, the good lord has answered my prayers!
