I’m thinking Thornton is a victim of heightism. Listed at 5’10”, if he can be the next Ahmad Black I’d take that every day

 

This term gets thrown around a lot, but Thornton really does have a "five star offer list"

I wonder why the services all have him so low?

 

It’s interesting that he and Denson are still talking about ramping up recruiting. I wonder if this has anything to do with McClain, Johnson, and Ricks.

 

If we’re actively pursuing higher rated kids at his position then why should we be worried? Clearly, he’s serving his best interest and keeping doors open, as he should. Nothing to see here, move along now.

Worried? I wouldn’t ever worry. But there is a likely scenario where you lose the committed guys and don’t land the bigger fish.

I think some of you are really over thinking this. Let’s leave the kid alone.

 

In two weeks we have football and we can stop overthinking every tweet by 17 year olds.

 

Its funny to me how the presumption here is that a message board, full of middle aged men, has the attention of a 17 year old kid and what we post he will see. Lol. I doubt this kid looks at this board and I doubt he gives even less of a #@$% what anyone on here thinks.

Would you like for the staff to call you and inform you on what the case really is? Probably not gonna happen so let’s just read the tea leaves the best we can, ok? Trust in Billy and the staff. It’s not like we’re talking a 5 star prospect who hasn’t “shut it down”. This kid could definitely be “processed” if other prospects want in. Yeah they do pretty much seem to have all the power these days - and that’s where I think this is totally screwed up. Nobody should take an offer from the University of Florida for granted, and that tweet suggests exactly that. I still don’t like it and if this dude chooses against UF because of what I say here I’m thinking we’ll be just fine without him.

 

Some of these kids might also be under the false impression that we're running a standard 4-3-4 defense and that is not true. That's an old style scheme. We will run with 5 and 6 DBs many times a game. Our defense needs at least 12 good/great DBs to really compete with the big dogs in the SEC.

 

Step away from the ledge? What ledge? Man some of you guys on here will take a simple post and try to spin all kinds of drama into it. You don’t have to be “worried” or on “the ledge” simply because you don’t like a tweet from a kid who says he’s “committed” to UF, bragging on how he’s just starting to crank up his recruitment activities. To me that doesn’t fly. There’s really nothing more to it than that.

 

Sweet, So basically only 5-6 more weeks before the pitch forks and town folk March toward town hall to tar and feather CBN for not winning a natty yet.
