Doctor asked for photos of the kids private parts, family obliged. Google flagged it as child porn, contacted the SF police, who investigated and cleared him but couldn’t tell the dad because all of his google services were locked so he had no phone or internet.
Meantime, even after the explanation and police clearing the guy, google refused to reinstate him.

I mean, good that they are diligent - no one wants child porn propagated, but have some common sense.

A Dad Took Photos of His Naked Toddler for the Doctor. Google Flagged Him as a Criminal.

Automatic responses and ai working thru pictures. There needs to be an easier fix but a child’s private parts on the internet should raise flags.

Child porn has exploded in internet age. It is an unpleasant topic nobody wants to talk about.

The big issue here is not so much it being flagged, but the lack of an expeditious process to resolve such instances as this. Perhaps given the publicity Google will develop one.

Apple does the exact same thing. They scan every photo uploaded to the iCloud and also report to law enforcement. There was a huge uproar after they announced it and implemented it for iOS 15 last year.

I choose Android for phones. Just prefer the Google ecosystem, Google docs, Gmail, Photos, Maps, all work better than apples versions and work best on actual Android devices.

I do have a couple MacBooks and iPads though, but use PCs at work.

There really isnt a huge advantage to either anymore, the iPhones are just overpriced at this point.

I remember that. Man, Matt Gaetz was pissed! Last I heard, he was switching to Windows Phone.

Being a tech savvy person; I wouldn’t have done what Mark did.

I can track the swelling without needing a picture.

The highest priced Android is actually more expensive than the highest priced iPhone now, there’s just way more choices with droids.

Of course, but a $300 android does you just about as well as a $1100 one. The options are the appeal.
