So a well respected virologist who has been awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom by a Republican president (George W. Bush) for his service will be retiring (a more accurate term than "resigning") after over 50 years of federal service. While news it shouldn't be all that shocking.

 

Trumps biggest failure was not firing this man. He is awful!

 

The nation owes him a great debt. Hopefully he will have some well deserved peace and eventually proper gratitude.

 

Fauci was in a no win situation from the start. He made his share of mistakes during this thing, but seriously who wouldn't?

He didnt make this political. Politicians did. Did he overreact at times? I believe so.
But seriously, underreacting probably seems more dangerous in his line of work.

Regardless, the man served his country in an important roll for longer than many of us have been alive.

I heard he's getting replaced by a "real medical doctor" i.e. a random chiropractor that does his own research on YouTube and sells homeopathic cure-alls.

 

All health agencies seem to be in no win situations. They'll always be accused of doing too much or doing too little. &, people judge them on outcomes not on the information that they had at the time decisions needed to be made.

Very possible if the former guy was still in office although the chances are that Trump would appoint a real doctor with no experience or credentials in virology, infectious diseases, public health or epidemiology.

From what I hear, law(n) enforcement is already making plans to arrest this vile freedom-hating curmudgeon. Right after they fully investigate the stolen election, Hunter Biden, and the harvesting of adrenochrome by celebrities and politicians.
