I read somewhere Boateng moved to defense.

He's listed as an OL on the roster. He went to Clemson as an OL and came to UF in transfer as an OL preferred walk-on. I searched and can't find anything on the internet about a position change or that Boateng was given a ship so I took him off the list. Removing Boateng drops the number of ship OL to 16.

Notebook: Day 6 of Gators Fall Camp 2022

As AllGators reported on day two, walk-on offensive linemen Kaleb Boateng and Nicolas Flynn have been working with the defensive linemen throughout camp. Neither is expected to receive playing time with this unit, but their reps are of importance as head coach Billy Napier has depended on walk-ons in practice to aid the development of scholarship players.[/QUOTE]

Yes, this happens a lot in training camp. It confirms Boateng hasn't earned a ship yet.

“remaining” are the ones I worry about. If a kid is young he will probably wait but there are a couple that have been here a minute. Do they go where they can play or have interest in finishing their degree. There will be injuries and opportunities but if the kid isn’t in the next man up nor two deep, he has a decision to make.

No worries. My parents pay way more for season tickets and they are in sec 3. I end up paying less in the end and only see a couple premier games a year in great seats.

I assume he’s at practice? If so, doesn’t really matter how his classes are paid for.

I've read insider reports of practice that said he moved to the DL.

Don't forget Jordan Herman. To my surprise he might get into the mix. One of the most massive human beings on our roster.

The two I would be worried about transferring are Will Harrod and Riley Simonds. I have them at 11 & 12 on the list which means they will be playing special teams and OL when needed due to injuries. Still, if UF sends 3 or 4 players to the NFL, they may stick around regardless of who is brought in with the 23-recruiting class.

Three returning are true freshmen and Mugharbil is a redshirt freshman 4-star player who was injured last season. I don't see any of those leaving.

Heads up, some of the classes don't appear to be right on the roster. Josh Braun is a 3rd year junior in 22, but he is listed as a sophomore. I suspect this has to do with the 21 covid year, but Braun will have played in 20, 21, and 22 so he is eligible to go pro when a regular sophomore doesn't have that option until after year 3.

I like the way gymnastics handles the covid year. They have the gymnasts in their actual class and then call them super seniors when they decide to come back for their 5th year. It's easier to understand. Football can learn from gymnastics.

The article above says it is a temporary fall camp move.

It matters that he isn't on ship as he would affect out total 85 number.

Right but he can still be on roster and not affect the 85. I hope we have a ton of pwo’s.

Jerrod and Simone’s are the two I worry about. If they are 11-12 and and injury away from seeing playing time, they have incentive to stay. If they are passed up by the younger guys that aren’t playing, they may never get in the two deep.

If they are never going to get into the two deep than it makes sense for them to move on from both sides perspective. Not saying this is the case, but if it is …
