I’ve yet to see someone from the left call Romney, Cheney, Collins, Young, Tillis, Blunt, or Burr the next Trump. Yet I have heard YOU, call some of those Republicans, RINOs...

You have never heard me call them RINO, because this post right here is probably the first time i've used the term on here. Here's some advice; Read more, post less. Go knock yourself out trying to find me calling any of those people RINO's. Good luck LOL.

It's just ass inine to think first responders will be qualified teachers and I suspect most of them know it. Will be interesting to see how many sign up.
    Total insult to qualified teachers.

The extreme teacher shortage is entirely on DeSantis and his solution is to make cops teachers?

Good thing all those Florida public school students are being educated for careers in food service and hospitality, given the apparent number of rich folks moving in from other parts of the country

I am still skeptical that once on a national stage Desantis has to presence to really take off. He sounds like a droning whiny nerd.

Just the employer provision. The education provision as applied to colleges and universities is next. K-12 will likely go down eventually too, but that's a closer call.

Now first responders can teach. Seems to be a multipronged plan to put guns n schools as well as get ideologues in place. One can argue that the wokeness needs guardrails, but this reeks as a continuation of fighting the “deep State”. You know, replacing govt workers with expertise with political appointees. Drive out the bad and install the good. Well my bad and good.

Politics infects all. I still blame talk radio, Rush and the teapots. People still revering Jones and Bannon. From Rove to Bannon, sweet jeebus.

The "guardrails" already existed. DeSantis used teachers as a scapegoat to score political points, and unsurprisingly, it's our state's schools that are paying the price.

Judge blocks Florida 'woke' law pushed by Gov. DeSantis

DeSantis and the Legislature had one view and tried to force it upon those with an opposing view by stifling the opposing view. Regardless of one’s own view, one has to see that as just plain wrong and the statute foolish and pandering. The judge said:

“If Florida truly believes we live in a post-racial society, then let it make its case,” the judge wrote. “But it cannot win the argument by muzzling its opponents.”

That’s basic in a free and vibrant society. It’s anathema in an authoritarian, “Dady knows best” one, so Daddy DeSantis will appeal.

No, the Trumpers are the RINOs. Ronald Reagan wouldn't recognize today's GQP.

If DeSantis accepts Alex Jones' endorsement, he's a fool.

Beat me to it. That is awesome. And accurate.

And before anyone responds, I know he'll be reversed by the 11th Circuit. That doesn't mean he's wrong. It means that the 11th Circuit is full of partisan hacks that are dishonest.

Weird pop-culture reference, although the judge’s assessment is correct as to the attacks on the 1st amendment.
