TX to DC Illegal Immigrant Busing - Some Bus Companies Not Completing The Trip?

A GA sheriff recently advised that some of these bus companies are committing fraud against the state of TX. Some of the bus companies who are helping to bus illegal immigrants from DC to TX either aren't completing the trip or letting illegal immigrants off early. Supposedly there are many now in GA near Chattanooga and they are now at intersections asking for money.

    My thoughts on this:
    1) This is fraud against the state of TX which is something they could be prosecuted for.
    2) Is the Federal Government or other Democrat interests paying the bus companies more to not complete the trip and let the illegal immigrants off in conservative areas to try to flip the vote in those areas?
    3) Are there liberal bus drivers who are taking matters into their own hands and trying to drop illegal immigrants off in more conservative areas?

In the very least Abbott needs to take control of this situation. Mandatory GPS tracking all buses as well as mandatory routes (that can not be deviated from without some approval from the TX State Government) and mandatory stops on the route. I would also put a TX state trooper on each bus to ensure the bus gets to DC.

It's a free country, people can decide when and where to get off a bus.

Your side is the one that wants all these illegal immigrants? I guess you're a hypocrite though. You want the illegal immigrants, just not in your backyard. You just don't want it to be your problem and we're finally making it your problem.

This is a great example why I think only Senators and Representatives from border states should have any say on immigration policy in the Senate and House. Their areas are the ones dealing with the fall out, not some Democrat Senator or Representative from lily white areas of New York, Massachusetts, Washington or Oregon, far away from the border and the problems occurring.

Assuming this story is even true. It could be fraud, but then again the immigrants maybe wanted the change of route or don’t care? You’d need to have the victims to show a crime.

If the bus dropped off immigrants somewhere else and then completed its route (or the bus was emptied and thus it didn’t bother the rest of the journey) then I’d say “good luck with that” fraud charge. I’d say having a Texas law enforcement officer holding them hostage would also be a crime. That officer would have absolutely zero jurisdiction to hold them, and as he has no authority to do so, it would actually be a crime for him to hold them on the bus against their will (something something human trafficking, kidnapping, etc).

About the only thing Abbott could do is have a state official on the route to make sure the bus does arrive at the intended destination, if it’s suspected the bus company is taking the $$$ but only completing half a route, then an argument would be made that is violation of a contract. Criminal fraud would need to show more malfeasance than a couple drivers not completing a route with an empty bus.

They have the right to decide whether they accept the bus transportation. No one is forcing them on the buses.

But when they get on the bus they agree to the destination so I would argue they don't have the right to get off the bus before their destination of DC. Obviously they have stops to go to the restroom and get food and I'm sure there is a restroom on the bus.

If I go on a greyhound bus do I have the right to order the bus driver to pull over and let me over? If I go on an airline do I have the right to order the pilot to reroute the plane to the destination I want to get off at? Of course not, by purchasing the ticket I agree to the destination. When they agree to voluntarily get on the bus they agree to the destination.

Should they also have to sit in the back of the bus in a special section perhaps?

That's what I meant. I never said have a Texas law enforcement officer hold them hostage. But there to make sure the route is completed and to prevent route bus officers from trying to convince illegal immigrants to get off and leave at destinations that are not the final destination of DC.

Funny how you don't care when the Feds does it in the middle of the night to areas that can't handle an immigrant flux. You sure don't care that one of the destinations is Jacksonville. Yep no potential election interference there.

Really what the state of Texas needs to start doing is chartering a plane to take the illegal immigrants to DC. No ability to get off at an alternate destination then.

Why are you so against illegal immigrants going to Democrat cities and areas where they are wanted?

Complete not what I meant so please do not put words in my mouth that I didn't say. If these bus drivers are going rogue and defrauding the state of Texas then maybe they need the company of a Texas law enforcement officer to make sure they complete the trip. If an illegal immigrant gets off and doesn't get back on I agree there's nothing they can do. But the law enforcement officer can make sure the trip is completed and prevent rogue bus drivers from advising the illegal immigrants to get off here instead of DC. There also, as I mentioned in the first post, need to be mandatory GPS tracking devices on each bus.

I don't care where they go, and I'm having a laugh over you melting down over Abbott's ill-conceived stunt not having its intended effect, an entirely predictable outcome.

They can but we know they don't have the money to. It's why the vast majority of illegal immigrants who come to the country never leave the border states. This is finally making other areas of the country take on some of that burden.

Would you not agree that all states should take on the illegal immigration burden and not just the handful of states by the border?

Look if you want someone with a gun on a bus to make sure everyone does what they are ordered to do and cant get off, that sounds like a hostage situation to me.

Of course you care where they go. You want them to go to Conservative areas to try to flip the vote to the Democrats in those areas. You also saw you want illegal immigrants but then, like most Democrats, have a "not in my backyard" mentality. Your Democrat mayors in DC and NYC are getting mad that the problem is finally coming to them. Easy to say you're pro-open borders when your area isn't with a days drive of the border.

Abbot is doing a stunt to pander to rubes (particularly sending them to D.C.).

But in principle I actually have no problem with disbursing immigrants away from the border and around the country, preferably to a destination where they have family/work, but if not that then some big cities should process them. Federal resources should be deployed as well though.

The problem with what Abbot is doing is he’s doing it as a stunt, zero coordination with anybody. We also know if Biden was bussing immigrants instead of Abbott there’d be the nutjobs out protesting the buses (we’ve seen it before). You’d probably make the exact opposite thread about Biden busing immigrants to “sanctuary cities” and want the buses stopped, instead of in this case your apparent deep concern for the fulfillment of state of TX contracts.
