More form a genius political mind of our time that the Liberal Leftists don't even care to listen to. Many people believe in eliminating gaps and eliminating poverty. They don't realize that in some sense those two things are antithetical. If you were to double everyone's income, or if everyone's income were doubled naturally over the course of time, then you would reduce poverty significantly but you would have also increased the gap. I liked her speech at the Republican convention but it went downhill after that. She does have a reality show persona. Maybe it’s from the reality show?

While Palin is definitely the favorite her election is by no means a certainty. Alaskans tend to be independent and while Palin has a lot of name recognition she also has a lot of negatives. There is a fair percentage of the Alaskan electorate that still hasn't forgiven her for quitting when she was their governor. She did the math back then and decided that earning a seven figure income on the speaking circuit was more appealing than a salary as governor of less than $150,000 and not only that the governorship was a position that required actual work.
