Maybe we compete with a little more (5-10%?) I believe we have the money to win bids that don't go crazy, as long as we can convince them to wait a year longer for the cash. But yeah, most end up with one of the usual suspects willing to outbid any other offer however high it gets, plus the bag. Recruiting is getting us in the final lists, but we're understandably losing the final bidding round.
We all teach our kids that instant gratitude is fools gold but we live in a world of instant gratification. My fiancé is constantly getting shit delivered from Amazon. I hate it but you have to admit it’s tge easy way out. Convincing a kid to wait on his 100 stacks is next to impossible.
I hope your scenario is accurate because we need to believe we have the money but our prudence and business sense is channeling great prospects to other schools. At this point it's hard to know, but we need to believe that otherwise it's a different set of issues.
Sorry if you didn't appreciate channeling. Is relinquishing a better word? It is all about money, right?
With some context yes. He played 4 games against 3 ranked opponents last season. Went 1-3 in those games. They pulled off the week 2 upset of OSU but then got beat twice by Utah and once by Oklahoma. Losing twice to a ranked team in same season is one thing, going 1-3 in games vs a ranked team is another issue.
Huh, hadn’t heard anything about him. Though…makes sense we would at least kick the tires since he’s a LA kid and our coaches have tons of contacts there.
I saw him high up in the player rankings early on but didn't think he had any interest in UF. Billy may have been in contact with him back at Louisiana. This is great news.
Man if Rob Sale wants to show his worth, he can pull this off. He's taken an official visit to Utah, Arizona, and Cal so he has two left. I see that he did attend the BBQ at Michigan and he's been recently offered by I believe Oregon and Missouri.
