I dont think they care like you think they should.

1. Many arent sure what storys are true or embellished these days... And dont have the time to watch hearings and find out

2. Most people are much more concerned about normalcy, soccer practice, work, interest rates, gas prices etc.

3. Think about your daily life. What do you hear more about from your normal everyday people (co-workers, your kids friends parents, pta meetings, soccer practice parents, etc) Gas/economy or 1/6?

In my circle its 97.7698% economy.

Both sides better be focused on fixing the economy and a post covid outlook.
